Experience Rovinj and its surroundings from the sea

Rovinj is a charming and picturesque town located in northern Croatia. Originally built on an island, the canal that had previously separated the town was filled in 250 years ago, and the town became part of the mainland. Rovinj is incredibly beautiful, and also a lively town with plenty of bars and tourists attractions, galleries and a vibrant fishing port. So don't miss a visit to the town before you head out to sea.

One of the most famous sights in the city is St Euphemia's Church, which was completed in 1736. It is the largest Baroque building in Istria and the 61-metre high church tower is also the tallest on the entire peninsula. From the church tower you also have a great view of the rooftop islands of Rovinj, the turquoise sea and the nearby islands.

Even the Old Town of Rovinj is an experience in itself and you will get a good idea of what life was like in the town when it was still an island. Here you can wander the cosy alleys and cobbled streets before heading to the town's harbour for a drink or a bite to eat.

But Rovinj is just one of many destinations along the Croatian coast where Click&Boat has boats. Don't miss checking out some of our other destinations on the Adriatic coast either:

Where to sail when renting a boat in Rovinj

Pula

Sailing south along the coast, you will soon reach the port of Pula. Pula is the largest city in Istria and offers a mix of Croatian and Italian culture, as the city has belonged to Italy throughout history.

The most famous sights in the city are the large amphitheatre Arena and the well-preserved Temple of Augustus. Pula also offers plenty of opportunities for sunbathing and swimming and in the summer months the water temperature never goes below 24 degrees.

Losinj

Sailing to the southern tip of Istria and then about 30 miles south-west will bring you to the beautiful island of Losinj. Losinj is known for its beautiful, species-rich nature and is a famous tourist destination. for health tourism.

Mali Losinj is the largest town on the island and is said to have the most beautiful harbour in the entire Adriatic. In Cikat bay you will find a beautiful beach known for its optimal conditions for windsurfing.

Rab

If you set sail from Mali Losinj harbour and cruise in a north-westerly direction for about 20 nautical miles, you will arrive in Rab. Rab is one of Croatia's greenest islands and is covered in pine forests and beautiful sandy beaches.

Rab town is the main town on the island and it is also where most of the sights are located. There are ruins of the ancient city walls from the Middle Ages and Srednja ulica, the central street, is lined with well-preserved buildings from the 15th century. The street leads up to the Loggiatornet, a 26 ,etre high bell tower that offers a beautiful view of the city and the sea.

Krk

A short sail in a northerly direction will take you to the island of Krk. The island is the largest in Croatia and also has 17,000 inhabitants. It's a diverse island and you're sure to find something to suit all tastes, as there's everything from beautiful scenery, rich culture and lively clubs and bars.

Krk Town is the main town on the island and is more than 2000 years old and the town's history is very well preserved as the town walls around the town still stand. Other historical sights not to be missed are St Mary's Cathedral and Frankopan Castle.

How much does it cost to rent a boat in Rovinj?

Click&Boat offers a wide range of boats of different types such as motorboats, sailboats, RIBs, catamarans and yachts. Prices vary depending on the type of boat and factors such as manufacturer, year of manufacture, model and owner.

For a sailboat, you can expect to pay around $250 per day on average, a price shared between the people on the boat trip. Smaller motorboats and RIBs that you can take out for the day cost around $200 for a full day, while you can expect to pay around $300 per day for larger motorboats with several berths.

Catamarans are usually in a slightly higher price bracket, and you'll usually pay around $400 per day when you rent a catamaran. However, catamarans are generally larger than classic sailboats, so you can often have up to ten people on the boat and share the price.

In which ports in Rovinj are Click&Boats boats available?

The two main harbours in Rovinj are Rovinj Marina and ACI Marina Rovinj and this is also where Click&Boat has most of its boats.

Rent a boat with captain in Rovinj

Do you feel that it would be more comfortable if you could hand over the responsibility of manoeuvring the boat? Or do you not have the license required to rent the boat you want? With Click&Boat this is not a problem, as many of the boats for rent can be rented with captain.

With an experienced captain on the boat, you can be completely relaxed and focus on the surroundings and spending time with family and friends. The captain takes full responsibility for the manoeuvring of the boat and manages the navigation between ground and cut. In addition, the captain often knows the local area well and can give you tips on hidden swimming spots and the best bars and restaurants in the towns.

What type of boat should I rent?

Your boating experience will vary greatly depending on the type of boat you choose to rent. Therefore, it is important that you choose the best type of boat for your particular preferences and expectations.

If you want to be able to get out to sea quickly and move flexibly between islands, a powerboat is a good choice. It's also great if you're on a tight schedule or just want to see as many places as possible, as you can cover large distances quickly with a powerboat.
