The Mediterranean atmosphere of Vrsar

The tourist town of Vrsar, in west Istria, is an urban village that grew inside of medieval walls. The town is made of narrow stone streets and charming squares. A little bit north, you will find the Lim canal, a nature park, with local restaurants and great receipes. There are two main festivals in Vrsar: the Casanova Festival (celebrating love and eroticism) and the Montraker festival in July (rock festival). Because the town is located on a hill, you can go to one of the many view points, where you will be able to admire the archipelago. Vrsar is surrounded by islets, and it would be a waste not to rent a boat, even just for the day, to visit them.

Vrsar is a small town with a really nice harbour. A lot of restaurants in the harbour, where you can eat after you had a day at the sea. During sunset you can try to spot dolphins at sea. It is best done when the sea is calm and easy.
