Although it looks shallow on the surface, the average depth of the lake is about 30 meters, making it one of the best places for diving in the country. Mgarr is the only port in Gozo and the first thing visitors see when they arrive on the island. When you take a cruise with your chartered yacht to the island, it is easy to loose yourself in those beautiful views and think that you are near the Moroccan coast. Gozo is a great place to visit. The beaches are amazing. I would highly recommend spending a few days on the island if you get the chance. It's a lot quieter than Malta and views around the entire island are breathtaking. A must for anyone visiting Malta. All the sites that you look up on google are even better in person
