Good port, difficult to park. But beautiful rocky cliffs and coves a surrounding for a day on the boat. Isles Medes were especially great for snorkeling.

Estartit is a great place to take your boat and enjoy the peace of the sea. You will have the chance to get close to illes medes in just a few minutes, and even get closer to the small caves and beaches by the coast. If the weather is good, 100% recommended!

At the start of the costa brava l'Estartit is a very touristic place with a lot of tourists from central Europe.
The environment is a very nice spot for sailing, as there is usually a reasonable wind at the afternoon (about 18kn). Also, there are a few places around with buoys. Besides sailing, the surroundings of the Medes Islands and the north coast is a beautiful place to see over water due its caves and a nice place to do snorkling.

Take a boat from L'Estartit marina, sail to the small coastal beaches. I highly recommend Snorkelling in the area. The water is very cold so make sure you move a lot while snorkelling. We went to few protected areas and seen a variety of fish species. There is also a diving school at the port.
