We had a great experience on the catamaran! We we’re a group of 8 people. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the catamaran was also very large. The price was also totally reasonable. Unfortunately, we had some bad weather, but we still stopped at a bay and went swimming – there’s a hot shower on the catamaran as well. Luca was super helpful and very friendly. We totally enjoyed our time and felt very comfortable.

What type of boat is best for a Palma de Mallorca yacht charter?

At Click&Boat, there are so many options for a Palma de Mallorca boat charter, so choosing a suitable vessel for your boat trip might be overwhelming. When choosing a boat, think about what your perfect sailing holiday would look like. RIBS and motorboats are sufficient for a shorter trip because they are usually rented as a day charter. They travel quickly, allowing you to see everything on your itinerary in no time. For a longer holiday for a week or more, you’ll need a more spacious vessel such as a yacht, catamaran or sailboat. See the table above for a brief overview of boats in Palma de Mallorca.

Where to sail in Palma de Mallorca?

The Balearic Islands are a Spanish archipelago made up of 4 main islands: Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera, and other small islands and islets. The islands are famous for their rugged natural beauty, picturesque towns, and world-class nightlife, particularly in Ibiza.

Things to do and see in Palma de Mallorca

With so much to do in so little time, it can be hard to choose exactly what to do. Here are some of our favourite things to do with a boat rental in Mallorca!

Navigate through the labyrinth of narrow streets in the Palma Old Town and experience the city’s rich history and culture

Satisfy the art lover in you at the Joan Miro Museum, where you can learn about the Mallorcan artist and relax in the beautiful gardens surrounding the building.

See the lush greenery at Hort del Rei Park, where beautiful fountains and plant life surround you.

Taste the local cuisine at the Mercat de Santa Catalina, where you’ll find fresh produce and island delicacies, such as ensaimadas and sobrasada.

View the majestic rock formation of Es Pontas.

Discover the most famous caves on the island: Cuevas del Drach, as well as one of the largest underground lakes in the world, Lake Martel.

Sunbathe on the best beaches on the island, including Cala Formentor, Es Calo des Moro, S’Amarador, Sa Calobra and Cala Pi.

What is the best time to hire a boat in Palma de Mallorca?

The summer is one of the best times to rent a boat in Mallorca. With little to no rain and hot sunny days, there is nothing better than sunbathing on a boat and taking a dip in the warm but refreshing waters. The temperatures tend to be between 25°C to 30°C from June to August.

However, with perfect sailing conditions comes crowds and high prices. Therefore, for a more peaceful experience, we recommend a yacht charter in Mallorca in the months of April, May, September, October, and November. The weather is still warm, with temperatures ranging from 18°C to 25°C, but the crowds are fewer and the prices are lower.

Rent a boat in Palma de Mallorca with or without a skipper.

If you have the appropriate boating or sailing licence, you might prefer to have a Palma de Mallorca yacht rental without a skipper. You can also hire a boat in Mallorca that doesn’t require a licence. However, it is always recommended having a skipper or crew on board to enhance your sailing experience. Typically, there are extra costs associated with having a skipper on board, but it is well worth it to sail without a worry in the world, knowing you are in safe hands.

Skippers are sailing experts who handle everything from docking and anchoring to navigating the vessel, so you don’t have to worry about anything but enjoying Mallorca. The best part is that they are usually locals, and can give you tips about where to go and what to do on your Palma de Mallorca boat rental so that you have an unforgettable experience!
