What can you see and do on an Ibiza boat rental?

Ibiza is a treasure trove of exciting things to do, and we’re here to help you add some activities to your Ibiza sailing itinerary. Below are some of our favourite activities and attractions to see and do while on your yacht charter in Ibiza.

  • Go beach hopping and see some of the island’s most pristine beaches like Cale Comte, Cala Bassa, Playa de Es Canar, Cala Salada, and Xarraca Bay.
  • Stroll through Ibiza’s Old Town, a fortified UNESCO World Heritage Site, and see the whitewashed walls and mazelike streets. You can visit the Ibiza Cathedral as well as the Castell d’Eivissa fortress but if history isn’t your thing, you’ll also be able to get a taste of the island’s nightlife.
  • Go cliff-jumping in the untouched waters of Cala Xuclar and if you have time, go sea kayaking!
  • Snorkel in the calm water of Ses Margalides Island and if you’re feeling brave, dive underwater and discover the shipwreck of Don Pedro, a ship that sank in the harbour in 2007.
  • Discover the legend of Atlantis at Es Vedra, an uninhabited rock formation situated near Cala d’Hort. It is regarded as one of Ibiza’s most important sights and with your boat rental, you can marvel at it from all angles.
  • Go stand-up paddleboarding along the beachfront of San Antonia, Playas d’en Bossa, and Santa Eularia.
  • Birdwatch at Ses Salines Natural Park and see the gorgeous landscape full of marshes, wetlands and lagoons.
  • Boat along the beaten path and see the rustic part of the island at San Miguel’s Port. When you’re there you can go inside the Cova de Can Marca, a magnificent cave with stalactites, rock formations and crystal-clear water.

What is the best time to rent a boat in Ibiza?

For the warmest temperatures and little to no rainfall, charter a yacht in Ibiza from May to September. August has the hottest weather, with high averages of 27°C and water temperatures at 28°C! However, you should be aware that Ibiza’s high season is in the summer, meaning that it will be quite crowded and boat rentals will be more expensive. If you don’t mind slightly cooler weather you should visit the island on the tail ends of high season in May or September. You will still have pleasant weather but get better deals on boats!

Yacht charter in Ibiza with a skipper!

At Click&Boat, we make sailing accessible to people of all nautical backgrounds. Even if you’ve never sailed before, you can still go on a sailing excursion with a skipper on board who will handle all of the logistics on the water. Skippers are licenced professionals who will navigate, dock and anchor the vessel, as well as take you to see everything on your itinerary. Although a boat rental with a skipper is typically more expensive than a bareboat, the extra cost is worth it to have your very own guide who knows the area very well, and can show you the hidden gems on the island. For the ultimate holiday in Ibiza, choose a yacht charter with a skipper!

What type of boat is best for an Ibiza yacht charter?

If you’re stuck trying to choose the perfect vessel for your Ibiza yacht charter, you should think about how much time you’re planning to spend on board. If you only have a few days to spare you should opt for a daily rental like a motorboat or a RIB. These fast vessels get you where you need to go in no time! If you want to spend more than a week on board you’ll need a vessel that can accommodate your every need such as a catamaran or a yacht. These vessels are spacious and well-equipped with cabins, a kitchen and a sunbathing area for you to sit back, and relax. If you have a sailing licence and experience sailing on the open water, you might like to charter a sailboat, though these vessels are not suitable for people who lack nautical knowledge or those who get seasick easily.

Ibiza every day is more beautiful! We were in Porroig, splendid beach. The photographs of Es Vedrà, fantastic! We sailed at dawn from Porroig to Es Vedrà, I recommend observing the magic of Ibiza at that time of the day. There is nothing like the silent navigation of the new sailboat "Ariel". Come to Ibiza! Try the "Ariel".

We went to Formentera and Cala Saona and Es Palmador. Gorgeous beaches and blue sea. Anchored over night at Calo de S'oli and took the dingy into shore for dinner. It took us 2 days here and back taking our time but well worth the visit. Avoid the sand banks at Freu Petite.
