Discover Menorca by sailboat

Explore Menorca, a jewel of the Mediterranean, in a unique and unforgettable way:Aboard a sailboat!

This island, the most eastern and greenest of the Balearic Islands, offers a diversity of natural landscapes and dream beaches that can be discovered wonderfully from the sea. Sailing along its coasts and discovering virgin coves with white sand and crystal clear water, such as Cala Macarella or Cala Turqueta, and admiring its iconic lighthouses, such as Favaritx, from a privileged perspective.

Rental a sailboat in Menorca offers you the freedom to create your own itinerary and live an authentic sailing experience. The island's gentle and constant winds make it an ideal destination for all types of sailors, from the most experienced to beginners. While you enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets from a different perspective, and starry nights on the high seas, far from light pollution.

In addition, Click&Boat already has more than 80 sailboats on an island. Which will allow you to easily choose the one that best suits your needs.

Find your ideal sailboat for your next trip

Choose the sailboat suitablefor your next trip to Menorca can be an exciting experience. So here we offer you some guidelines to help you make the right decision, taking into account the most important aspects to consider in a sailboat.

• Capacity: The capacity of a sailboat refers to the number of people it can accommodate safely and comfortably. This can vary considerably from boat to boat. On average, a sailboat can accommodate between 6 and 10 people, although larger options are available. It is important to take into account the size of your group and the type of trip you are planning (for example, a day trip or a multi-night cruise) when considering capacity.

• Cabins: If you plan to spend the night at sea, you will need a sailboat with enough cabins and beds for your group. A typical sailboat may have between 2 and 5 cabins, each with 2 beds. Some larger boats may have even more cabins. When considering cabins, you should also think about privacy and space for storing belongings.

• Length: The length of a sailboat, measured in feet, can give a good indication of its overall size and the amount of space available both on deck and inside.A sailboat 30 to 40 feet long is a popular choice for small groups or families, while a sailboat longer than 40 feet will provide more space and comfort for larger groups.

How much does it cost to rent a sailboat in Menorca?

The price of a sailboat rental in Menorca depends on many factors. But, approximately, it can range between €200-€1,200 per day and €1,500-€5,000 per week. Depending on the size of the boat, power, age and location of navigation.

Without taking into account extras such as:
• Equipment available on board: Depending on the type of water activities you want to do and the material required, the boat owner may consider appropriate to charge it separately. Therefore, it is always important to contact the owner to clarify these types of details.
• Fuel: This is usually part of the rental price. That is, everything you consume on your sailing day/s will be charged to you at the end of the trip when refueling the boat. Although in general, sailboats depend mainly on the wind for propulsion and do not usually use fuel on a regular basis. So consumption tends to be quite low compared to other types of boats. But this does not mean that it is non-existent, since they are all equipped with an auxiliary engine. Which is mainly used to maneuver in ports, entering and leaving anchorages and in situations where the wind is not enough.

Estimated daily cost: €20 -€100< /p>

• Skipper: If you do not have the license to take the boat or you simply want to enjoy your vacation without worries, you will need to rent a sailboat with a skipper. Which has a price between €150-€300 per day.
• Deposit: Before the start of navigation, a payment must be made (by bank account or at the time of check-in) which will be collected in case of any incident. Which usually ranges between €400 and €3,000. Obviously, if when it comes to returning the boat everything is in the same condition as the first day. This payment will be returned in full.

They can share with you the stories and legends of the island, recommend the best places to eat, or even show you navigation techniques if you are interested in learning. Menorca is great by boat.. No car park hassle and the most exclusive calas and beaches that you can only get to by boat. The highlights were Cala Macarella and Macarelleta. The Med in September is still a good bet for good weather and warm calm waters. We're definitely coming back.

The south coast is very special with a lot of bays, and rugged coast line. We even found a cave that we could explore. Ciutadella is a great point to start exploring from. Best time is to catch it off peak in May or September. The water is very clear and unspoilt
