Sailboat Charter in Split

The city of Split, located on the coast of Croatia, has architectural influences from the Roman and Venetian empires. A popular visit is the palace of Diocletien, around which the city was built when the Roman Emperor Diocletien was in power. During your visit, you will also be able to admire the Cathedral Saint-Domnius. The fort of Klis is the perfect spot to enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the city. The Marjan park offers you a nice area to walk, and gives you an entirely different point of view of the city. Kasuni and Bacvice are idyllic beaches to go to relax with friends or family.

Split, a beautiful Croatian seaside city

By chartering a sailboat from Split, you will be able to navigate towards the islands, leaving behind a breathtaking view of the city. The island of Brac, one of the biggest Adriatic sea island, is worth visiting; there, you can go to the popular Zlatni rat beach with its crystal clear waters. Hvar, near Split, is considered like the Croatian "Saint-Tropez". Moreover, cruising along the Dalmatian coast will bring you to Sibenik, Biograd na Moru, and even Zadar.

Navigating on a sailboat is an experience full of incredible sensations. Let yourself be carried by the wind and achieve longer cruising time because you won't have to stop off to refill your fuel tank. Another great advantage is the cost related to your charter (especially if it is at least a week long), which will be a lot lower than if you chose a motorboat.

Click & Boat sailboats

Our dedicated team and user-friendly website is here to help you charter a sailboat in Split. We have the most attractive prices, and very diverse sailboats: all sizes, various years, all levels of luxury, crewed or not. The Click & Boat team is also available to help you with any inquiries you have.

How much does it cost to charter a sailboat in Split?

Chartering a boat of any kind can vary a lot depending on many factors. Some of the factors that you can expect to change the price of your sailboat charter in split include the age and the size of the boat, the duration of your charter, the time of year that you are booking as well as whether a captain, crew or any extras are included. During the high-season in July and August you will benefit from the hottest weather the Split offers all year around. The waters will be warm enough to swim in comfortably and the beaches and seas will be at their most beautiful. Perhaps this is also when the city feels the most alive and has the best atmosphere. In the high-season, prices are also at their highest. During the low-season it is possible to charter a sailboat in Split for a much lower price. However, the weather will not be as good and the water may even be too cold to swim in. On the plus side, the streets will be quieter if you are looking for a quieter escape and you will certainly not struggle to find a space in a restaurant. With Click&Boat you will have a free advisor who can take into account your budget and all of your requirements before finding you the perfect sailboat charter in Split for you at the best price.

The City of Split

The city was built up around the palace that belonged to the Emperor Diocletian during the third century. The Diocletian Palace is now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and is an iconic site in the city. If you are visiting Split in the end of August don’t miss the music festival "Dioklecijanovi dani” in Peristyle. Spend time going to the Croatian National Theatre, Riva, or visiting the Ivan Mestrović Gallery, or enjoy a jazz-bar in the old house of Marko Marulić (father of Croatian literature). Strolling down the streets of Split, you will also come across a wide range of Croatian restaurants offering local gastronomy and delicious specialties such as pršut (local dyed ham), the legendary octopus salad, and crni rižot (traditional risotto with cuttlefish ink).

What to do on your Sailboat charter in Split

During your sailboat charter you will feel like you need more time to do all of the things that you want to do and that is one of the beauties of sailboat charter. First you get to learn about the boat and experience a true sailing adventure. If you charter a boat with a captain then you are lucky enough to learn from his expertise. If you are your own captain then you must first get comfortable with this specific sailboat. You can enjoy so many activities from on board your sailboat charter. Take a swim in the warm waters of the sea and make friends with the local sea-life by snorkeling or scuba diving. Watersports are also available depending on the sailboat you charter - you may be lucky enough to wakeboard or water ski! Your sailboat charter is the perfect opportunity to hop from beach to beach and marina to marina enjoying all of the beautiful meals that this amazing city has to offer. Once are ready to move to the next destination, why leave your sailboat? Sail from Split to another beautiful Croatian city or island and let this sailing adventure continue.

Split is an amazing place. You also get easy access to the islands (including Brac, Hvar, Solta, Vis & many more), which are only a short boat ride away.

Really fun town with much to do. Very easy to get around to the other islands in the area, too! Just need to be careful sailing around when the winds hit. Makes controlling boats rather difficult.

Split is a very nice place to go, especially when visiting wild beaches and creeks. The Blue Lagoon is beautiful but a bit crowded. We spent more time in the south of Solta (as recommended by our local renter) and really loved it. The gas station is a bit crowded at the end of the day, but it works out fine. A little cons is that we met a very rude skipper there. Otherwise, the renter and other drivers were nice.
