The boat was unfortunately quite old and didn't have a depth sounder, as stated in the description. That was actually one of the main reasons I rented the boat, because there are a lot of shallows in the area. The navigation system was either not explained properly, or it simply wasn't effective. Luckily, I had a navigation app on my phone; without it, I would have been in a real bind.

If the weather does not allow you to go out to sea, it is better to postpone the booking and agree on a new date with the boat owner. Do I need a licence to rent this boat?

You must have a boat licence to drive this boat. The paper document may be requested by the owner on the day of booking, so do not hesitate to confirm with the owner the type of licence required for this specific rental (coastal, river, etc...). Please note that it is possible to book the boat without being the skipper yourself at the time of charter.

Am I insured in case of problems with the boat at sea?

All boats available on Click&Boat are covered by at least a mandatory third-party liability insurance (RC), as required by applicable regulations. This insurance generally covers damages caused to third parties, but does not cover damages caused to the rented boat itself.
