Mykonos, known as the ‘Wind Island’ for its strong winds in the summer, is a magnificent island with wonderful beaches and a unique landscape of raw beauty that is worth discovering by boat. Don’t miss the opportunity to take a selfie with one of its landmark windmills in the background.
If you go on a boating trip around the island, you will have the chance to bask in the Mediterranean sun on remote beaches such as Phocos and Merkaria, away from the crowds that flock to the island in the summer You can also visit several nearby islands in the Cyclades, such as beautiful Paros and picturesque Naxos. Not far from Mykonos is the uninhabited island of Delos - a real gem that epitomises the unique allure of Ancient Greece and its architecture.

The best time to visit Mykonos is different for everyone. As with the rest of the Mediterranean, the area sees a busy summer period, or 'high-season', where tourists flood the streets and beaches are full. But a boat charter in Mykonos is a great way to avoid the crowds.
You can enjoy the views of the island from a different angle, still enjoy the streets in the morning when they are quieter and take your yacht charter to the more secluded beaches to avoid the crowds.
The weather is hottest from June to September and this time of year the waters are heavenly to swim in. May and October are still quite warm too but you may find that a few shops and restaurants close during this time - but that's ok because you will find that hotels are much cheaper during this period too.
Boat rentals in the Mykonos vary considerably in boat type, length of time and price of the charter. For those who have a sailing license, bareboat charters are available and for those who don't then you can rent a boat that comes with a captain and even a crew.

Mykonos is an amazing place full of energy and lovely spots. All the beaches are incredible , Mykonos Town is magic and the vibe is second to none!!! Our base is in Ornos so we can avoid the north wind and we usually sail towards the sacred islands opposite Mykonos, Delos and Rhenia or the Southern Coast of Mykonos!
This year we live an unusual summer. If you want to enjoy a more quiet and natural Mykonos, 2020 is your year. Less crowd, less cars, less noise but still our beautiful beaches and greek hospitality.
