Whatever your plans in Long Beach, make sure it includes (atleast) a day out on the water with Click&Boat.

How much does it cost to rent a boat in Long Beach, CA?

What to see and do in Long Beach?

Long Beach has a long boating tradition that lovers of the sea may wish to explore if they opt to rent a boat in Long Beach.

In the Queensway Bay, admire the famous ocean liner, RMS Queen Mary which today operates as a museum or visit the city’s aquarium, where you can feast your eyes on the shark lagoon!

With your boat or yacht rental, we highly suggest you spend the day beach hopping some of the top rated beaches in the area such as Belmont Shore Beach, Junipero Cherry Beach, Seal Beach, Alamitos Bay Beach and Peninsula Beach.

Long Beach boat rentals are also an ideal solution if you would like to visit nearby towns like Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, and Marina del Rey for the day.

If you are looking for a longer trip, we highly recommend setting sail for Santa Catalina Island for the weekend. Moor in Avalon of Two Harbors, discover the Mediterranean-esque towns as well as enjoy your time in the water- swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing under the California Sun.

And for the more adventurous, it is also possible to navigate towards northern California for the sights of Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, or even to see the dramatic cliffs of Big Sur. Or you can head south towards San Diego for some fishing, and even continue into Mexico. The opportunities are truly endless.

Looking for some fun? Rent a motorboat and try your hand at wakeboarding, wake surfing or even waterskiings. Be sure to message the boat owner to see what kind of water sport equipment they may offer (life jackets, diving gear, paddle boards, etc…)

When is the best time to rent a boat in Long Beach?

Southern California is warm and sunny nearly all year, meaning boating is an option year round! The peak boating season in the Long Beach area is during the summer months, typically starting from Mid May to Early October. Making boating the perfect opportunity to cool off in the Pacific Ocean on a hot summer day.

Since boat rentals in Long Beach are popular in the Summer, we highly recommend booking your day trips in advance- to insure you can reserve your dream boat! For those planning to set sail in the low season, be sure to bring a light jacket as it might get a bit chilly out on the water- but nonetheless, we are sure you’ll enjoy your experience aboard!

Can I rent a boat in Long Beach with a captain?

Yes! With using the Click&Boat platform, you have the option to rent a boat with or without a captain, depending if you have the required boat licenses/qualifications.

For those of you who have a boat license, bareboat rentals are available. However, if you prefer to sit back and relax then choose to rent with a captain. Our captains are local experts who know the Long Beach area best! Let them show you all the top anchorages, secluded beaches and coves, as well as give you recommendations on the best restaurants and bars- if you are interested in docking’n’dining.

In my opinion long beach california or so cal is "where its at!". Home of extreme sports, beautiful and famous, people and celebrities. The Music and Film industries thrive here, alongside Arts and Entertainment, Fashion and Technology. Offers the widest variety of food and drink, things to do, places to see. I can think of no better place in the world to live or visit than Long Beach CA.

The area was a nice place to sail from and view was beautiful. We got to see sea lions and had a nice view of the sunset. The parking was decent, we just used a lot that was close to the docks of one of the surrounding restaurants. All in all great place.
