The circular old town fortress of Korcula sticks out into the sea, ringed on the outside by medieval walls. Get back to Nature at the Mljet National Park
From the air, Mljet National Park looks like some mountainous jigsaw pieces randomly scattered in the sea. From a boat, these are some of the most beautiful coves and bays in Croatia. One of the most notable feature of this thickly wooded park is a large saltwater lake on its fringes with a small island in the middle on which sits an abandoned Benedictine monastery. The island is only accessible by boat and even has a small beach and restaurant.
