How much does it cost?

The cost of a boat rental can vary widely depending on a number of factors. These factors include the size and type of the boat, the length of the rental period, the time of year you're looking to rent, and more.

On average, you can expect to pay around €900 to €1,200 daily for a boat rental in San Blas. However, it is possible to find boat rentals for as low as €687 per day.

There may be additional fees not included in the price, such as fuel or docking fees. Be sure to reach out to the boat owner to discuss the details of what’s included in the price.

When is the best time to go?

If you're planning a boat rental in San Blas Islands, you'll want to make sure you visit during the best time of year to ensure a memorable charter vacation. The good news is that San Blas is a year-round destination, with something for everyone!

That being said, the best time to visit San Blas is typically from December to April, when the weather is sunny, warm, and dry. During these months, you can expect average temperatures in the mid-80s°F and water temperatures in the mid-70s°F. The dry season also means you'll have fewer chances of encountering rain, which can be a common occurrence during other times of the year.

If you're looking for a more affordable boat rental in San Blas, consider a yacht rental during the off-season from May to November. While there may be more rain during these months, you'll still be able to enjoy all that San Blas has to offer at a lower cost. Plus, the islands are less crowded during this time, so you'll have more opportunities to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery at your own pace.

Should I charter a yacht with a skipper?

Renting a boat with a skipper ensures that you'll have a stress-free and enjoyable sailing vacation. Your skipper will handle all of the navigation, docking, and other technical aspects of sailing, leaving you free to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery. Plus, if you're not an experienced sailor, renting with a skipper can help you avoid any potential mishaps or accidents.

A boat rental with a skipper also means that you’ll have a personal tour guide. Skippers are often local experts who know the best spots to visit, the most beautiful anchorages, and the most interesting places to explore. They can also recommend the best restaurants and bars, and provide valuable insight into the local culture and history. All of this makes for a much more immersive and enjoyable sailing vacation.

Elena and her crew are the real deal. From the welcome moment to the goodbye they will greet any request of yours with a happy smile and willingness to provide the best service. They even create a beach BBQ and bond fire on request!!! Gormet food and exquisite cocktails finish the circle with flying colors (Chef Lea is a true Pro)!!! You can’t go wrong with this choice. Ohhh. Did I mention that they are one of the few (I could find others for the time of my booking) that provide motor water sports beside SUP? Banana or water skies were a top pick for our holidays. If we do comeback to San Blas (Panama Maldives) we are sure to given them another GO!!! All the best

Elena and Lea were tremendous hosts. Before the trip even started Elena was incredibly helpful in organizing travel to and from the islands, which was not a simple task for our group of six (we drove and took a boat to meet them on the way there, and took a flight on the way back). Once on the boat it was clear that we made a great choice. Elena’s skill as a captain, her meticulous approach to maintenance/cleanliness and her incredible knowledge of the area made us feel safe throughout. Lea was magical in the kitchen morning day and night, with fresh, healthy, clean meals that wowed the family over and over again. I also have to give a shout out to our canine hosts (Nali and Maluka) who adopted us for the week. Great additions to the experience, added entertainment / security, and the kids adored them. Overall it was an amazing trip. Sailing around a beautiful, remote part of the world, in safe hands, great food, with lots of activities (swimming, snorkeling, spear fishing, water skiing, exploring uninhabited islands, visiting local Guna villages) to keep the family entertained, plenty of time to relax, etc. I highly recommend spending some quality time on the Flying Ginny w this amazing crew.
