Lefkas Town is the capital and is located in the north of the island. After a big earthquake in 1953, the town was rebuilt according to old plans and today offers its visitors a picturesque backdrop. It has a modern marina that can accommodate about 600 boats and a harbour and waterfront promenade invites you for walks and strolls. Numerous restaurants and tavernas add a holiday flair to the evening atmosphere, where relaxation is pre-programmed. During the day, explore the city's pedestrian zone, which leads all the way to the central Agios Spyridon square. You can also pay a visit to the archaeological museum.
The island is very mountainous and therefore ideal for hiking enthusiasts among the catamaran charterers in Lefkada to get a little change from the swaying ship and explore nature on solid ground. Of particular interest to you might be Mount Stavrota, which rises about 1200 metres above sea level. But there are also great flat coastal walks to discover, leading to more unspoilt bays. The bay of Vassiliki is particularly popular with surfers, as this is where the wind blows permanently and most reliably.
There is still the question of the most beautiful beaches on Lefkada. Here, too, the holidaymaker will not be disappointed. Our first tip is Milos! It is a sandy beach that requires a short hike to reach. You walk along the coast from Agios Nikitas and end up at this unspoilt and undeveloped beach. Of course, it would also be a good idea to rent a catamaran on Lefkas and enjoy the sea during a day trip. Kathisma, on the other hand, is perfectly equipped for families. Bars and tavernas for plenty of choice. You can rent umbrellas and sunbeds on site. Finally, we would not like to deprive you of Egremni. This is the absolute dream beach that you should not miss during your yacht charter on Lefkas. It is reminiscent of beaches in the Caribbean and is completely undeveloped. You could reach it by a small serpentine road, which was destroyed by an earthquake in 2018, which means that it is also recommended to rent a catamaran to get here.
Like renting other kinds of boats in other destinations, the price of a catamaran charter in Lefkada depends on a few factors. It depends on what time of year you visit, how modern the boat you charter is, how many people the boat will sleep and the duration of your stay. During the low season, before April, it is possible to rent a catamaran in Lefkada for 8 people from €1,300/week. In other words, that is €163 per person/week and so only comes to around €23 per person per day! Who would have believed that you could rent a catamaran in Greece for that price? If you charter a catamaran during the summer, the high season, the same catamaran would cost you €3,656 per week. This comes down to around €457 per person/week or around €65 per person/day. The benefits of renting during the low or mid season are of course the lower prices but also the quieter streets and beaches. The weather will however not be as good and the waters may be too cold to swim in! The prices in the summer are higher and the streets busier but the sun will be shining bright and hard, the waters will be warm and you will find paradise on board your catamaran rental with Click&Boat.

Good location to do a relaxing holiday. Sea very beautifull , nice people, virgin nature . Very easily attainable and near with the other islands beautiful too. All the beaches in Lefkas are beautiful, the water is faultless. To see absolutely Porto Katsiki, Egremnoi, Kathisma that can be attainable with the car or by the boat. Simply perfect!
It was 14th of August what did I expect? 1,5hour trafficjam to get to the island via the drawbridge... But it was well worth it. This is a fantastic area to sail. There are little islands and bays everywhere and the tiresome Aegean meltemi is absent. Every afternoon there is a steady wind, great for sailing passages. Coves and bays everywhere with turqoise waters, little fishing villages with precious little space to moor on the dock, you usually set anchor nearby and cast a long landline to keep you steady. The bigger towns have sufficient mooring spaces and some provide water, fuel, AC power and Wifi! I totally recommend Meganisi and Ithaca for at least three days of your week. Nights are usually calm and you can stay in the little bay you just discovered overnight, no hassle. Of course during August there are many others doing the same thing so I recommend booking late June or July for less sea and land traffic.
Toured around meganisi to visit caves and beaches. Papanikolis cave was really cool and had lunch in Vathy which was nice.
