There are such beautiful and wild cliffs to explore around Monte Argentario. We love Porto Ercole and it’s surrounds. Not too busy around Monte Argentario and we managed to get all day parking at the port which was perfect. A beautiful spot worth exploring by boat as you can’t reach many spots by road without an intense hike.

Tupai is such a beautiful and fun boat! Captain Martin is incredibly friendly, an amazing sailor, and a fisherman who always keeps his hopes up for catching a good ‘tombarello’ for lunch. And let me tell you, the olive oil from the Pescaia estate on board is simply outstanding!

My girlfriend and I bareback chartered Tonino’s boat for 2 nights, 3 days. He takes wonderful care of his boat. It’s clean and organized. Every component within the boat (mechanical, electronic, anchor, rigging, etc) works well and is well-maintained. It is an efficient use of space and easy to operate for a 37 ft boat. We felt right at home. Tonino was just a phone call away at all times, and responded whenever we checked in with him. He was friendly and patiently waited to assist us at the dock at departure and arrival. We highly recommend taking this boat out for the circumnavigation of Isla de Giglio; you might even see dolphins on the way!

Host:
In the States, there was a long-running television advertisement campaign for Dos Equis Beer, featuring the most interesting man in the world. Our host, Francesco, could reprise that role. C’mon, he sails, is a chef, and listens to the coolest music ever. Best epitomizing the man was the way that he gazed to the horizon, while puffing on a Camel. Great host, who knew exactly when to engage and when to leave us alone.
Boat:
The boat was well-maintained. There was not enough wind to sail so we have no comment about either the boat’s or Francesco’s abilities there.
Trip:
The trip itinerary was left to Francesco and was a hit. Two nights at two different venues in Giglio.
Tip: Let Francisco choose the fish for lunch and dinner - spectacular!
Summary: The short voyage exceeded our expectations. We will recommend this excursion to our friends.
