Volos is agreat destination for sailors looking for relatively calm waters and beautiful places to visit while avoiding the crazy business of places like the area around Athens.

Volos- Pilion , the land Jason and the Argonauts set out from ancient Iolkos in an Argo ship to reach ancient Colchis, take the Golden Fleece and bring it back to the region of Thessaly.

Volos is about 40 nm from the Sporades islands. Once you get there many options exist, including 3 main islands and many more small-virgin ones. If you visit Alonissos you will probably see dolphins and the famous seal! The waters and clean and green-blue. You will see some jellyfish in some causes.

The boat is in very good condition. The equipment and sails are working nicely. The owners are very supportive and available for questions. We had very nice vacation with no obstacles.

We rented as first time bareboat charters, an for sure it was an experience to remember ! We found both Andy & Christine not as boat owners, but as friends, who supported us in every decision, question and advice. The boat was splendid, and acted according to expectation. We sail around Skiathos, Skopelos and inside the Pagasetic Gulf, exploring new beaches, and mirific sunsets. Crew of 2 adults, plus 2 children, we had an wonderful experience, the boat was exactly what we needed. Will come back next year , for sure !

I do not know Filippo's sailing experience level. They had a skipper on board. But they were lovely people and we would welcome them again.
