Charter a yacht in Athens

Athens is the largest city in Greece and one of the world's oldest cities. If you want to sail and explore the Cyclades chartering a motor yacht or a sailboat, Athens is a great decision. No matter if you are going on vacation with friends or family, Athens will offer you everything you are looking for. Often called the cradle of Western civilization, Athens is a city where memories of a glorious past melt with the temptations of the most cosmopolitan cities in Europe. If you decide to visit the home of Socrates and Plato, you will have plenty of activities to do. An absolutely unavoidable point in the Athens is Acropolis, the upper town, recognized as one of the finest examples of classical Greek art and architecture. There you will find the striking symbol of the city, the Parthenon - a temple dedicated to the goddess Athena. In addition to the Parthenon, there is also the Erechtheum, widely known for pillars in the form of female figures – caryatids. But, in Athens, tourists do not come just to admire the remains of the ancient culture, but also to try the Greek culinary specialties like souvlaki as well as the Greek salad, the famous gyros and tzatziki. In the evening, the top place to be in Athens is the Plaka neighborhood, with many shops and taverns. We suggest you to go out to a traditional Greek dinner, where you will enjoy an evening with the sounds of bouzouki (greek traditional musical instrument) or maybe try to dance the well known greek dance of sirtaki. But beauties of Athens are not only in the city, but also around it. Do not miss the opportunity to charter a yacht in Athens and start your unforgettable greek adventure.

Athens by yacht

Greece is well known as a country with rugged coastlines, so chartering a yacht in Greece is the only way to explore all its beauty. Mykonos is one of the most attractive islands in Greece with its stone walls, the charming living architecture, and is quite close to Athens. So charter a motor yacht, a catamaran, or a sailboat to runaway from the crowds and find your personal paradise. Island known for windmills, beautiful sea, long sandy beaches and hill areas will certainly delight every tourist. The most recognizable part of Mykonos is known as Little Venice, with colorful house facades and balconies. Another interesting sailing destination is the island of Zakynthos, where some of the most famous beaches are located, like the shipwreck's beach – Navigo. We also recommend to weight anchor and make a trip around the island to explore caves and many hidden coves where you may meet some sea turtles.

Wherever you decided to go, we are sure you are going to have an amazing time on the boat you rented on Click&Boat.

We start sail early ,so we are in Aigina port around 11 in the morning. We visited Aigina village, little beautiful narrow street and buy the famous '' pistachios''. Around 2 o'clock visit the island and Moni a natural island with many animals and blue clear waters. Late the night we are back to Athens.

You need some time to get out to the cyclades and some extra time again to make sure you get some ideal weather. Overall Athens was a good solution to us because we could fly in and sail away with crew flying in from three locations. Our last day was spent exploring the ruins of Athens so a well mixed visit overall
