Venice, a city of miracles and wonders

To visit Venice, you must leave your car on the mainland and reach the city by boat or train. Jesolo and Caorle are two convenient docking spots near the city if you charter a yacht in Venice. There is so much to see in this Italian gem. If you hire a boat in Venice or hire one of the famous Venetian gondolas, don’t miss the opportunity to visit the famous Saint Mark’s Square. It can also be the perfect starting point for a stroll in the city to discover its splendorous palaces such as the Doge’s Palace, praised by artists and writers over the centuries. Other famous landmarks include the Bridge of Sighs, Rialto Bridge and Chiodo Bridge. A yacht charter in Venice will offer you a unique view of these monuments. Away from the historical centre, you will find San Michele Island which serves as the cemetery. You can visit the homonymous church, an outstanding sample of Venetian architecture.

Boat hire in Venice, the city of Doges

Known around the world for its canals, Venice stretches over 118 islets. Enter 123 churches and 455 bridges and you have a city that is really unique. A boat hire in Venice will help you explore all these monuments at your own pace.

Venice is divided into six parts. San Marco, Castello, Cannaregio are located on the left bank of the Grand Canal and Santa Croce, San Polo and Dorsoduro on the right bank. Chateaubriand famously said that this is "a city against nature". As a matter of fact, it is one of the few places in the world where one has to go from one place to another on foot.  To cross the main canals, you will have to use a boat; this is why many holidaymakers opt for a boat hire in Venice. If the famous Venetian gondola is mainly used by tourists, the locals prefer vaporetto or thraghetto.

Choggia is a good place to start a tour and visit Venisia. It's amazing to sail around Burano, Murano and Torcelo ! You will find many places to moor, and it's always a game to park the boat in the right way with the "bricolas". For information it's not recommended to use the sails in the small channel because of the traffic

Certosa as habour is a good location to stay. You have good conection to venice with all its attractions. But it is also quit and a good start to sail through the lagoon. The infrastructure is also on normal standard. Insider tip: Beside the typical attractions we visited san francesco del deserto a small island with a monastray. It is really worth seeing.
