This Bavaria 33 has an excellent sailing performance and offers you generous space in the cockpit and below deck. KATE is located in the ACI Marina of Trogir. Price includes : -rent of boat -VAT -bedlinen, galley equipment, gas for cooking, dinghy, water in tanks Mandatory base fees, to be paid in base in cash before departure : -end cleaning 90 € -tourist tax 2 €/person/day Refundable deposit 1500 €, cash or credit card slip Options, payable in cash only, must be ordered one month before departure : - gennaker 100 €/week - outboard 100 €/ week Not far from Split, Trogir is a relaxing place surrounded by nearby islands. You will enjoy this medieval city included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites, and take a trip around the islands of Bisevo, Hvar, Vis, Budinovak and Stiniva. Overall rating
Toni and his team were very helpful, with efficient checkout and check-in, offering excellent advice on good anchorages, and responsive to questions whilst underway. Kate is a lovely boat, easy to manoeuvre and the engine was reliable. Some areas for improvement: We were surprised that the boat has no functioning holding tank! And there were a few small issues - for example the fuel gauge being stuck on full. From a sail and rigging perspective the shrouds need tensioning and the bimini - offering really nice shade - unfortunately gets in the way of optimising the sail shape up-wind. None of these had a major impact on our enjoyment and we had a good week. I'd probably ask Toni to reconnect the holding tank for my next charter.
Boat is ok for this price, Toni and Team are great
The yacht is easy to sail, all very comfortable . The main safety equipement is all on board. You just need your own navigation app like Navionics. Toni is very experienced is his work. Only dissappintment was that check in took a long time, we nearly missed our departure to make it on time to spend the night on our first anchorage. Also, In the advertisement it was not clear that we had to be back in port in fridaynight 18:00. It was hot and noisy to spend the night in the marina. Be ware that anchoring is forbidden due to insurance regulations. And mooring buoys are not for free, unless you eat in a restaurant who offer buoys. So we had to eat out every night, which was really wonderfull. Good to know for your budget calculation, that your overnight stay is not for free. All other experience , the yacht, cruising area, local kindness ,was perfect! I recommend detonicharter, Thank you Toni.
The boat sailed very well with good sails and deck equipment. The autopilot worked ok, but navigation material was lacking: The sat nav was not usable and the log unreliable.
Overall our experience with Toni and the Bavaria 33 was completely positive. The boat was older (we knew this going in) and showed some normal wear and tear, but maintenance wise it was in good shape and everything worked as it should. The boat had plenty of fenders, lines, an extra anchor, and other items like soap and toilet paper on board ready to go. Overall a good experience and we would rent again.

The boat is showing its age and could use a general overhaul. The sails are old and used. There is only one tablet for navigation, which is mounted in the interior. The boat motor is quite noisy. The battery was very weak and, despite charging overnight, it was empty again after a short time, although only the fridge was running, which was very annoying. If you really want to sail you had better choose another boat.
