What a great service. Pick up at the center. Drove a little bit together to get everything explained. The boat was is good shape, almost as new, clean and good looking. Engine powerful enough to speed around but still very smooth to handle at . And the islands and anchorages and docks. And thanks to Hvar itself, islands and bays, what a unforgettable experiance. Returning was very easy. We we allowed to pay the costs of the petrol 1:1 to the owner, so we safed the time filling it on our own. Thank you very much, definitly a good choice to book here!

“An amazing experience from start to finish! The skipper gave us a warm welcome, clearly explained the itinerary, and treated us to drinks, snacks, and fresh fruit right away. The boat was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, and the skipper was incredibly kind and professional. We had a fantastic day, and one of the highlights was my son swimming at Betina Cave. The boat was also equipped with high-quality towels, as well as snorkeling masks and fins, which made the experience even better. We were especially impressed with the SUP board – we used it all the time! I would also like to highlight how convenient it was to have a toilet on board, which made a big difference for us throughout the day. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a perfect, carefree day at sea!”

Do you need a licence to charter a catamaran in Croatia?

You need a licence to charter a catamaran in Croatia. The skipper must have a valid licence recognized by Croatian authorities, such as an ICC (International Certificate of Competence) or a national equivalent. Additionally, a VHF radio certificate is required.

If you lack the necessary licenses or experience, you can hire a professional skipper through the charter company. This ensures compliance with regulations and safety during your trip.

Should I charter a catamaran with or without a skipper in Croatia?

If you have the required licences and sailing experience, chartering a catamaran without a skipper offers more privacy and freedom to explore.

However, if you lack experience or prefer a stress-free holiday, hiring a skipper is a great option. A skipper enhances safety, navigates local waters expertly, and can offer local knowledge about the best spots to visit. Choose based on your comfort level and desired holiday experience.
