A city of historical heritage

As the first military port of France (highly destroyed during the war), Toulon is a city full of charm with nice “bistros” (pubs) near the docks, where it is nice to stop by for happy hour. Also, the visit of the maritime cemetery is very interesting to see. Toulon is easily accessible by train, and offers a wide variety of navigation itineraries. The islands of Port-Cros and Porquerolles are close by, and very beautiful places to visit. Toulon is an exceptionally sunny city, with many anchorage points nearby, and well- equipped ports (shops to buy necessities before a boat trip).

Boat rentals in Toulon

Our website, Click & Boat, will be very useful and easy to use to rent a boat in Toulon. We are the leading platform for peer-to-peer boat rental in France and in Europe. Catamarans, sailboats, motorboats, Ribs, jet skis, are all available for rental on our website. You will have the opportunity to choose if you want to rent a boat bareboat, captained, or by doing some co-navigation (when a boat owner invites you on his or her boat and shows you around his favourite spots).

Some navigational options

There are many navigation options leaving from Toulon, for example: you may set sail to the islands of Port-Cros and Porquerolles (as we wrote in the first paragraph) located near Toulon, or to the island of Embiez, few nautical miles east. If you rent a boat for one day only, you should go to Embiez. If you have more time, Hyeres is a magnificent destination with many anchorage points. You can also go to: Cassis, Marseille, Bandol, Sanary-sur-Mer, and Lavandou. For longer rentals, Toulon also allows you to cruise to Corsica or Sardinia (Italy).

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have an inquiry. The Click & Boat team is very happy to be helping you rent a boat in Toulon!

Toulon is a city with a sad history (much of it was destroyed during the war), but appears to be in the midst of surge of development. I enjoyed staying near the Port and exploring the surrounding regions of Toulon by Boat. There is an extraordinary beach near Toulon in Hyeres and obviously the region is extremely beautiful.

Toulon is a typical French city in the south, but with out the unpleseant overflow of tourist as in Cannes or Nice. We enjoyed the stay and had great dinner twice in the vicinity of the port. Bathrooms and showers in the marina could need some more attention though. Great sailing around the islands! Beautiful bays to anchor, mind the ferrys that go frequently and make lots of waves. Proquerolle is very nice and lifely. Make reservations for the mooring and pay upfront if you want to stay overnight.
