Hello everyone, Riou is a young old man from 1982! You can rent her for a day or several days. She is well equipped: - Yanmar 1GM 9hp diesel inboard engine - Electric windlass - Furling genoa - Portable VHF Inside: - Forward cabin with 2 berths and 2 bench seats in the saloon - Galley (foot pump) - Gas stove - All kitchen equipment and utensils - Toilet - Fresh water tank - No shower (solar shower bag) Condition: Mainsail in very good condition Genoa used but maintained But be careful! This is a boat that's not new, so no sailing in heavy weather... Halyards and sheets changed in 2023 Spinlocks changed in 2019 At the end of the rental, I will check the engine hours and calculate the fuel consumption based on this. (approximately 2 liters per hour, payment on site). The boat is equipped with a small gas stove. There is a cartridge: bring a replacement cartridge or refund if used (3 euros). Mooring at the Toulon Darse Nord port! PLEASE RETURN THE BOAT CLEAN (as well as the dishes, stove, toilet, etc.). I require experienced sailors who are comfortable in the wind, otherwise there's too much risk of breakage. So sorry, no novices. But no overly sporty driving! If the weather conditions are too harsh for the boat... I prefer it stay in port! Please note! I do not accept charters with only one person on board! A wonderful getaway aboard this boat, where you immediately feel at home. Anne-Catherine is very welcoming and very accommodating regarding arrival and departure times. We were able to reach Porquerolles in 3 hours from Toulon with a good tailwind. The only downside was that the reverse gear didn't work during our charter, but this will no doubt be fixed soon. I recommend it!
The Riou is a good sailboat and its owner is very accommodating and precise during handling. This boat is ideal for short sailing trips and anchorages. However, some parts of the boat are in poor condition and could cause problems.

The boat is old and it feels a little comfort-wise. It remains navigable without problems. The security elements are there. It's a small boat with a large rudder so it's quite easy to steer. We went out in 5-6 Beauforts and 1.5+m of short waves with 2 reefs in the main and 1 reef in the genoa to get through the waves. The boat was holding but we were a little shaken. The crew preferred to return to port. Given the weather, we weren't able to sail much.

Great boat for day sailing!
Despite her venerable age, Riou has lost none of her seaworthiness. Boat very well maintained and healthy. It turned out to be stiff on the canvas in 15-20 knots of mistral. Anne Catherine was very available for the handling of the sailboat, thank you!

We had a wonderful day at sea. The boat has charm despite its age and is in perfect condition, very pleasant to sail. Anne is a friendly host who really loves sailing. Only small drawback is the engine is a bit noisy and slow but just to get out and come back from the port it's perfect. thanks again
The boat lacks maintenance, the deck hatch is held by a wooden dowel instead of 3 plastic pins, the stove is not suitable for marine use, the ceiling is falling apart in many places. Finally, the tenants do not have empty chests to store their belongings. The engine and the sails are functional. Anne Catherine is responsive.

We had a great time with Riou. The photos are correct. However, there are several broken elements that are replaced by a D system to which we must adapt. We feel that Riou is no longer very young but that is still part of his charm. Anne Catherine remains very available and accommodating.
Anne Catherine is very friendly, available, and responsive. Unfortunately his boat is hardly presentable, his age does not explain everything. It is sorely lacking in maintenance, everything is loose in the trunks, in the strong-smelling GO cabin; the toilets are not operational. Forget the nights at anchor. the maneuvers get stuck, it is better not to have to reef. the tack of the mainsail is not secure, the clew of the Genoa is torn, the furling system is working well. Fortunately, the engine starts very well but the propulsion is inefficient, perhaps three knots per flat seas, the shaft line vibrates strongly (alignment problem, too worn stub ring?), the probably too dirty propeller brews a lot of water. Despite everything, the day was beautiful thanks to the good weather.

Good boat for a quiet outing around the area
Super welcome and availability of the owner. Boat fully operational, with all the halyard referrals to the cockpit.
Boat in a very average state of maintenance. The topping lift broke during navigation, which made reefing maneuvers complicated. No navigation lights for night/anchor navigation. No storage available for our belongings, a lot of mess with the belongings stored permanently in the boat, for example multiple fishing rods in the forward cabin. Very dirty boat (layer of mold on the ceiling, very dirty bathroom, plates and cutlery poorly washed). Owner available to answer questions.
