Great skipper, but the boat is not suitable for the sea around Barcelona We rented a Beneteau Ombrine 630 from Port Forum for a short sea tour around El Masnou and Badalona. Our skipper was absolutely fantastic — very friendly, professional, and calm, even when things became difficult. His presence really made a difference and was the highlight of the experience. That said, the boat itself is not adapted at all to this environment. It’s a small powerboat, with limited engine power and a very basic design not built for rough sea. The sea around Barcelona often has strong waves and frequent swells, even on what seem like “calm” days, and this boat clearly wasn’t made to handle them. There are no real seats or secured places to sit comfortably. We had to hold on tightly the entire time, especially in the front of the boat, where the impact after each wave was so intense that we felt like we could literally be thrown off. We were slammed repeatedly into the structure of the boat, and all of us ended the trip with back and leg pain. Some of us felt dizzy and nauseous from the constant vertical movement. It felt more like a rodeo than a boat tour — absolutely not for people prone to vertigo, anxiety, or seasickness. The boat even stopped twice, and we had to restart the engine several times, adding to the stress in the middle of the sea. At some moments, it was genuinely terrifying — not just uncomfortable, but unsafe. We all agreed that we felt vulnerable and unprotected. In the end, we just made it near a beach where we could swim a little, but there wasn’t much to see — no clear turquoise water, and no real destination or sights along the way. We spent most of the 4 hours just struggling with the sea, trying not to get hurt. To be clear: this type of boat is better suited for calm waters — lakes, rivers, or very sheltered bays. It’s not at all adequate for open sea excursions on the Mediterranean coast, especially not for 2+ hours. We were lucky to have a competent skipper, but this trip was not worth the stress, the pain, or the price. Unless the sea is flat and you’re doing something very short, I don’t recommend this experience with this boat.

We went for wakeboarding for 3 hours. The ladder broke during our trip due to normal usage. The issue was clarified rather quickly without any additional charges after some back and forth with the maintainer of the boat. The owner responded fast and took care of the communication. Overall a great experience
The communication with Aurelien through the platform was really easy and quick. The skipper Alfonso was really nice, he had a great moment ! We had a lot of fun

The boat was clean and the reception was very good. After a short briefing we were able to leave the harbor. Overall, the trip on the boat was great and everything we had imagined. The only thing that bothered us was using the tire that you pull behind you. Since the connecting rope is not attached to a bracket at the top, but to the bottom of the motor, it always hangs in the wave coming from the boat. This means that when you turn, the rope is never fully taut and has a lot of resistance, which significantly limits the fun.

Unreliable boat rental company My experience with this landlord (Aurelien) was unfortunately very disappointing. We had booked a motorboat for a birthday outing with 7 people, from 11 am to 6 pm. Everything seemed to be going well, until 12 minutes before the agreed time we received a message that the boat was not available because it was not yet in the water, due to an emergency or something similar. These types of last minute cancellations are unacceptable and demonstrate poor planning and customer service. Despite their offer of a sailboat for just 2 hours as an alternative, we were very dissatisfied as this did not suit our original plans at all. Fortunately we got our money back, but the disappointment of our group was great, especially because it was a special occasion.
Boat conforms to the photos - I recommend
We had a very good experience with Aurelien’s boat. Easy and fast communication. On-time departure from the harbor and a more than adequate boat for a day trip. Fuel consumption was around 10l/h at an average of around 2500 rpm.
