CABIN RENTAL WITH CAPTAIN. 4 passengers max. Patrick, your captain will be happy to welcome you on board to help you discover his passion: waterways, the Canal du Midi in particular. Nature and calm, tourism and gastronomy, discoveries and tastings are on the cruise program. The boat: Aliénor d'Occitanie (Millau 14m model, ex rental boat) is self-sufficient in 220 V electricity thanks to its photovoltaic panels, has a water reserve of more than 1000 liters (you still need be careful not to waste). It offers a beautiful living space: the saloon with a large bench around the table and of course the interior steering position in case of rain. The kitchen equipped with a gas stove with oven, a microwave, fridge-freezer, crockery and kitchen utensils. On the roof, a large terrace with garden furniture where you can sunbathe or in the shade under the bimini, have an aperitif and why not eat. The Captain will keep you company since most of the time, navigation is done from the outside steering position. The cabins: the aft cabin is equipped with a 160 bed and has its own bathroom (sink, toilet, shower). The central cabin has a 120 cm bed for one or two people as well as its bathroom (sink, shower and WC). The forward cabin is reserved for the captain. Sheets and towels are not provided. Life on board: You can prepare your meals on board or go to the restaurant during the evening stopover. The interior of the boat is non-smoking (ashtray on the terrace) and animals are not accepted. Navigation: active participation in maneuvers: passage of locks, mooring at the stage. Depending on the programs, the average browsing time varies between 4 and 5 hours per day. You can bring your bikes, the towpaths are very pleasant. Possibility of making stopovers near restaurants along the canal. Price: The price includes the provision of the cabin(s) as well as the costs related to navigation (fuel, insurance, vignette, port costs, etc.). Duration and itinerary: three to five days on the Canal du Midi, departure location to be specified depending on previous cruises. Trips can be round trip or one way with return transportation by taxi at your expense. IMPORTANT: the boat is not suitable for people with reduced mobility or for children under 10 years old. Boat was clean and perfect condition. Captain Patrick was very nice. Restaurants and the ability to walk along canal were somewhat limited. Restaurants were a communication and planning issue. Maybe walking was as well.
Patrick is a lovely person and warm host. The boat is perfect for visiting the Canal du Midi. We hope to return next year.

A very pleasant cruise, a comfortable and spacious boat, cabins (one for the parents and one for the children) well laid out for 2 people with a bathroom per cabin, a small pleasant terrace at the front for breakfast , a shaded outdoor terrace with bimini which is very pleasant in hot weather. The terrace and its 4-seater lounge is well suited for relaxing but a bit limited for eating at 5 (no high table). The square is a bit tight to eat there at 5 as well. The solar panels sometimes struggled to be enough for 5 people even though the sun was out. The boat is very hot in heat waves which can be difficult to bear. The boat is perfectly maintained and very clean. We appreciated the welcome and the company of Captain Patrick, his explanations on the boat, on the canal, his advice on visits and restaurants and his flexibility in relation to the organization of the trip and the stages.
Friendly, Patrick, our host is an excellent guide who makes us discover very interesting points on our route. Along the water, he introduces us to river navigation. Life on board is very pleasant and we had a good time together. Patrick is welcoming, with a lot of humor. The experience was very positive and we highly recommend Patrick for this type of cruise.

Navigateur Fluvial uniquement ! J'habite sur mon bateau et je me déplace entre Toulouse et Agde (ou plus loin !).Il y a une vingtaine d'années, j'ai déjà eu un bateau d'habitation sur la Seine en région parisienne. Donc navigation en Seine, la Marne et les canaux du centre. Ma passion ? tous ce qui touche au "Fluvial".
