Without License charter in Castro · Lady 5.95 (2010)

A very nice boat trip north of Castro with my two daughters, aged 13 and 15. The boat is very comfortable, its 40hp engine is sufficiently powerful, and its fuel consumption is quite reasonable. We were able to sail up the (magnificent) coast to Porto Badisco, admire the caves, and take several swimming breaks. It should be noted, however, that the instructions provided by the person handling the departure from the port were extremely brief (2 minutes tops) - probably due to the language barrier. It would be wise to explain in a little more detail how the boat works, particularly where and how to drop and raise the anchor. Since the anchor is not suitable for sandy bottoms, it can very easily get stuck (which happened to us twice). In this case, it is important to know how to maneuver it to free it. Please note (this was explained to us) that it is forbidden to anchor within 100m of the coast and 200m of a beach. The maritime brigade is present in the area and ensures that this ban is respected (but seems to be rather conciliatory, no fine).

Good reception. Clear explanation. You can't rent for less than half a day. Even if you only sail for 2 hours. When entering, you have to send whatsapp and then someone will come to guide the boat in. That means waiting at the entrance to the harbor. And you have to sail on a panton. It requires some steering skills or experience. The boat can go fast... but then you quickly use up fuel. 2 hours of sailing was 4 liters. You pay 2 euros per liter. But you first have to pay a 60 euro deposit. We got 52 euros back.

Positive experience, good organization

Everything was as described and expected... the contract was already prepared. The service was great. Marco took care of the entry and exit from the port. The only criticism: the information about which office in the port we had to go to was missing and we had to ask for directions.

Excellent welcome and availability. We had a beautiful day, wonderful sea of course! I recommend not going too far, the wind could increase and the sea could become very, very rough! Our return was very very dangerous and difficult! Perhaps we would have liked some more advice from the more experienced at the start of the day! But we still thank Marco and his team!

It was a fantastic experience. Check-in was very clear and fast, with time flexibility and correctness. The gentleman was very kind, he had a lot of patience in explaining how the boat worked and was very helpful in case we had any problems. I highly recommend! Thanks for everything !

Boat a little old but kept quite well. Kindness and availability of the staff both before and after the rental. Good value for money.
