Description of Mario's boat without licence

Boat without licence Venom Istranka 15hp

My motorboat Istranka is a traditional Croatian boat that is 5,20 meters long. The official capacity is for 6 guests but my recommendation is 4 people for better comfort and experience. The boat has a small outboard engine of 15 HP so it can be rented also if you do not possess a boat license. I would prefer it if you have some experience before getting the boat yourself. I can give you short in...

An absolutely fantastic experience! Everything was simple, straightforward, and completely hassle-free from start to finish. The owner was very friendly, helpful, and made the whole process easy, even for a complete beginner. After spending the day on the boat, I’m now 100% sure that I want to get my boating license. It was such an enjoyable and confidence-building experience. I can highly recommend this boat and the owner to anyone looking for a great day on the water!

We hand an incredible time on board. Mario was very professional and kind. We ran into an issue and he was so quick to offer a solution that he was under no obligation to provide. If you charter this boat for any reason let it be him. We received simple instructions and great recommendations on where to go. The ship itself was a great value, super easy to operate and dock, and very comfortable given the size. We were a party of 3 and felt right in place. Amazing day!

Mario was fantastic from start to finish. Since I didn’t have much boating experience, he took the time to explain everything clearly before we left, which made us feel comfortable and confident. The boat was in great condition, performed perfectly throughout the day, and was exactly as described. We had an amazing experience and would definitely rent from Mario again. Highly recommended!

Great communication prior to our boat day. Mario was very detailed with instructions, provided a cooler, and was very accommodating. Would rent again, this was the highlight of our trip.

Frequently asked questions

What happens in the case of bad weather?

If the weather does not allow you to go out to sea, it is preferable to postpone the booking and to agree on a new date with the boat owner. For daily rentals, you have the possibility to subscribe to our Weather Guarantee in order to be fully reimbursed in case of bad weather (special weather report, storm, etc...).

Is fuel included in the charter price?

Fuel is not included in the rental price. Please contact the owner if you would like an estimate of the fuel cost of booking this boat.

Do I need a licence to rent this boat?

You do not need a boating licence to book this boat. However, you may be asked for an ID on the day of the rental.

Am I insured in case of problems with the boat at sea?

All boats available on Click&Boat are covered by at least a mandatory third-party liability insurance (RC), as required by applicable regulations. This insurance generally covers damages caused to third parties, but does not cover damages caused to the rented boat itself. In the event of damage to the boat during the rental period, the owner is entitled to retain part or all of the deposit left by the renter in order to cover the repair costs. The renter may, where eligible, take out a damage waiver insurance in order to protect their deposit. As a general rule, damages are to be settled directly between the renter and the boat owner. In case no agreement can be reached, the matter may need to be referred to the competent legal authority. Additional insurances (such as deposit waiver, assistance, etc.) may be purchased directly on Click&Boat at the time of booking, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

Am I experienced enough to rent this boat?

Before accepting a booking request, the owner may carry out a check of the hirer's nautical CV to ensure that they are experienced enough to hire the boat. The owner can also adapt their check-in to the port (training, help leaving the port) according to the nautical skills of the renter. Do not hesitate to discuss this with the owner via the message board.
