Aurora – Cruise in Comfort & Freedom Explore the calm, protected waters of Limfjorden, North Denmark, on Aurora, a classic 15m, two-masted sailing yacht. Perfect for families, she’s safe for kids and elders, with shallow sandy waters and almost no swell, giving you total freedom to anchor and explore along 700 km of coastline. Get close to seals and, with luck, even the majestic Sea Eagle. From Thyborøn in the west (visit the Sea War Museum and enjoy local cuisine) to Aalborg in the east (Denmark’s 4th largest city with vibrant nightlife), everything in between is peaceful nature and charming rural landscapes. About Aurora: Spacious, liveaboard-ready, and modified for long stays at anchor. While she has nine berths, we recommend 5–6 guests for comfort. Optional equipment available (diving gear, compressors, etc.). Important: I’ll always be onboard when Aurora isn’t securely moored. No sailing license required—relax and sail while I discreetly assist.

Kristian is a fantastic captain and a true host – he made us feel welcome from the very first moment and went out of his way to ensure our trip was unforgettable. The boat is in excellent condition, very spacious, and a joy to sail. We went fishing, sailing, swimming, built a small bonfire on a deserted island and cooked our freshly caught fish over the flames, surrounded by curious seals. It was an adventure straight out of a storybook. As the pirates would say: “A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor – but with Captain Kristian, you’ll always be in good hands!” ⚓️🏴☠️ Highly recommended for anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind experience on the water! Bosse, his freinds and family were always positive, happy, easygoing and helpful while we cruised the Limfjord together. They really enjoyed the sailing and treated me and my aging yacht with the outmost respect and friendliness. The 4 of them are all passionate fishermen and they caught an incredible amount of juicy Sea Trout, which were roasted to perfection over a bonfire on the beach. All accompagnied by good dutch ale and a selection of classic sea shanties performed in the moonlight by one of Bosses friends. I recommend Bosse and his family and friends to anyone who is looking for a energetic, young and adventurous crew - and who love eating fresh caught fish.
The Aurora is a few years old, but in very good condition! Much better than in the pictures. Booking this boat was a real stroke of luck! The skipper, Kristian, is fantastic! He's completely relaxed about leaving his boat in someone else's hands, but as the skipper present, he keeps it completely safe at all times. Our entire family (two children, ages 9 and 11) was thrilled by his actions and his inner youth. In addition to Danish, Kristian is fluent in English, German, French, Portuguese, and Spanish. From seal watching, campfires on the beach, and pirate games with swings thrown into the water from the spinnaker pole, to anchoring in a beautiful bay, visiting the harbor, and, of course, sailing. A fantastic vacation!
Renting Aurora to Marco, his wife and his 2 kids was just like sailing with my own family. They are all super friendly, extrovert, positive, willing to learn, easygoing and above ultra respectful to the old lady which my yacht really is. When Marco and his family left my yacht it was cleaner than when they arrived. I would rent to Marco again in a heartbeat. I am proud to call Marco and his family my friends after our small voyage together - and my family and I are planning to pay them a visit at their home next time we are going south by car.

Ship Ahoy! In North Denmark you can experience a feeling of freedom and unique tranquility of sailing as there is no background swell in the protected waters of the Limfjorden. The shallow water permits you to anchor anywhere you would like. You can visit seal colonies and even get close to Sea Eagles. The Aurora has been modified to be safe and comfortable for infants and seniors alike. She features a 1 m high railing that instigates a strong feeling of safety while moving around on deck both for the very young or the very old. I have owned offshore cruising yachts for more than 30 years now. Here under liveaboard for 12 years. I built my first 43 foot ketch when I was 21. Crossed the Atlantic twice. Cruised South America and the Caribbean for 2 years, Cruising Azores and European Atlantic for 9 Years. Aurora is first and foremost a large sailing boat with 100% focus on safety and comfort. Her previous names Camelot and Latitudes bear witness to that fact. Renting Aurora in the protected water of the Limfjorden is perfect for family or friends who would like a to get a taste of the cruising life, or for those with elderly or small kids that just want a tranquil nature experience at sea. Aurora is basicly a summer house that is also beautiful, stylish and can cross the oceans.
