Friendly and straightforward communication with the owner during the check-in inspection. But it's primarily a support boat: the engine runs like clockwork, the trimmer is functional, the hull is OK, and the required equipment is functional. But it's clearly not well-suited for cruising (no GPS, no depth sounder, no swim ladder) and the electronics were quite faulty (the only functional indicator was the engine rev counter; the speedometer was out of order, the fuel gauge was out of order, the VHF was out of order, etc.). And beware of the rental price, which masks the fact that the engine isn't fuel-efficient (and therefore fuel bills can be high)... and that you'll also have to pay the tourist tax separately to the harbor master's office if you rent for several days. Finally, the check-out inspection was non-existent (no verbal or formal inspection by the person collecting the boat keys). Trust reigns among seafarers, but this can leave one uncertain as to whether they are truly absolved of any potential future liability (even if it's just for refueling, which is done, of course, but not checked upon departure). In short: this boat is no longer new (worn rubber), it "does the job" for sailing, but its equipment is still a bit limited for recreational use.
