This rental company isn't very friendly or flexible. He makes it clear you're bothering him on the phone by saying "shit" without hanging up... Furthermore, his boat isn't maintained or clean (torn cushions, damaged hull, dirt inside, no comfort) and isn't suitable for visiting the islands of Embiez and Porquerolles, for example, which are located near Les Sablettes because the boat is too light in even a moderate sea! You should only stay nearby if you don't want to tip over. As for the fuel bill, you have to pay him the fuel upon your return, but you have no way of verifying the amount Benoit is asking for and he doesn't give you any explanation. We returned the boat two hours before the end time with the gauge at more than halfway, and he still asked us for €55... even though a liter of fuel currently costs €1.80... In short, avoid him.
Benoît is very approachable and answers all your questions. It was my first trip out to sea, and he put me at ease. A quick trip out of the harbor with him to get used to the boat, and that was it. Easy to get to grips with. Thanks again, Benoît. If we return to the region, we'll call on you.
