Yacht charter in Nerano · Selva — Gommone (2020)

We had a great day on the boat. Even with boat experience it was a challenging journey to Capri as the water was rough so I would recommend only heading there on this vessel on very calm days. We had a great afternoon anchored near Nerano after coming back though. Some more information about where we could and couldn’t anchor (perhaps a marked map) would have been helpful, so I’d suggest doing research before heading out!

Using this type of boat is a great way to get around the Amalfi Coast. We hired the boat from Nerano for the day and spent the day cruising along the coast line. I was given clear instructions on where we could and couldn’t go as well as some great recommendations of were to stop for some great swimming spots in the crystal clear waters of the Amalfi coastline. We stopped in Positano, there are services there that will park your boat and get you on shore for 20 Euro. We spent 1 hour and a half looking around Positano and stopped for lunch. Then back on the boat and a few more stops on the way home. Even if you have never driven a boat, these are easy to operate and they provide some simple instructions when you sign the paperwork at the beginning of the day. I think it’s the best way to experience some quite, crystal blue waters and view the beautiful coast line from out at sea. Our teenage kids loved it. The hire of the boat was 500 Euro and we were out for the day and used about 3 quarters of a tank of petrol, which then cost us another 320 Euro. All up an expensive day, but still worth it in my view. Tip - pack some drinks and snacks to bring on board. Nothing like stopping at an amazing spot and enjoying a small Aperol Spritz and some chips while taking in the beautiful scenery.
