Last week a friend and I took a nice tour of the island with the skipper Girolamo, a very kind, polite and thoughtful boy from Pantelleria. Given my fear of the sea, he was patient and made the excursion as comfortable as possible. He stopped several times for a swim and gave us various explanations. Excellent experience, especially if you prefer to be in peace and avoid large groups with lunches and so on.
