My wife and I sailed with the Alyssa for 30 days while visiting the Leeward Islands, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The boat is easy to handle with just two people and proved to be very reliable throughout the entire month. She sails very well, and the sails are relatively new. It’s particularly convenient that reefing can be done directly from the cockpit. All key systems functioned flawlessly during our trip. The autopilot, engine, and electric anchor winch worked without any issues. The long anchor chain combined with a heavy anchor provides great flexibility in crowded anchorages, allowing you to anchor comfortably in deeper water when needed. The cockpit is very comfortable, especially thanks to the custom-made cushions on the line bags, which make longer periods outside very pleasant. The solar panels provided more than enough power; even after spending several days in a bay without motoring, we never needed to recharge the batteries. The dinghy is conveniently lightweight and easy to handle. Its engine is older but very reliable and surprisingly fuel-efficient. The only downside is that it isn’t very powerful, so covering longer distances requires a bit of patience. During the trip, Marc was always available for questions and responding very fast. So we had an absolutely wonderful holiday and can certainly recommend this boat for a trip.
The rental went very well! The boat is in good condition, sails well, and is very reassuring despite weather conditions that could easily have been frightening. The efficient autopilot, the winches with self-tailing in good condition, and the automatic reefing system allow for maneuvers with a small crew or with novice sailors without any complications. A very enjoyable stay on this Bavaria; I recommend renting with Marc, who is very helpful with any questions!

Thanks to Marc for all his advice and contacts... The boat, with its brand-new set of sails (made by Marc), is every bit as good as modern boats, and sailing upwind was very pleasant. The upholstery was also high quality. It's a shame the flu prevented me from fully enjoying it all! Maybe next time...
The sailboat met all our expectations. We had a nice cruise with a wind of 16 to 22 knots and the sailboat worked well.
Great experience on the boat, exactly as advertised! Marc answered all our questions quickly and gave us good advice for sailing. The boat has several batteries on one side, we don't lack energy, but it makes the boat lean to one side, a little less comfortable. We had a very nice week of sailing, thank you!

Marc's Bavaria 38 is an excellent boat, very seaworthy, fast and easy. Good surprises such as the cockpit lamp for the evening, Bluetooth speaker and portable VHF all easily rechargeable. The only weak points are the unreliable anemometer and the really old annex engine. Also missing was an Italian style coffee maker. I recommend this boat.
