I have to share my honest review regarding Massimo, the skipper and Carlotta’s father. Massimo was a very kind and welcoming host. However, my concerns started when we fueled the yacht. During the negotiation on the Click and Boat chat, I was informed that we would spend around 500, but when we fueled, the invoice was three times that amount. The yacht is primarily designed for fishing. The three suites were closed and not available for use. While we visited some beautiful beaches, they were relatively close to the marina. The fuel cost seemed excessive for the distance we traveled. The boat lacks sofas or benches for sitting; instead, they provided only two chairs and one table (all portable). At the front, there wasn’t a comfortable place to sunbathe—we had to share space with the jet ski, which was blocking my view on the right-hand side. Overall, the comfort was very disappointing for the price. For the same cost, I could have chosen a more comfortable, tourist-friendly, and economical yacht. Owner's response: After reading the review published by Brazilian Ricardo, since the statements do not correspond to the reality of the facts, we are forced to respond in order to protect the good name of our boat. We would like to clarify the following: 1) The boat’s fuel consumption, as is our custom, was well known to Ricardo even before he made the final booking. 2) The itinerary was chosen by mutual agreement on the morning Ricardo and his wife boarded, after assessing the weather and sea conditions. The couple asked to visit beautiful places and swim at renowned beaches. They were therefore suggested Mortorio Island beach and Capo di Coda Cavallo beach, which are among the most famous in Sardinia. After showing them the route to Mortorio and Capo di Coda Cavallo on the plotter and looking at photos of these places on the internet, the estimated fuel consumption was 800 liters. This calculation was made considering two factors: distance, 44 miles, and time, 4 hours for a round trip from Porto Rotondo. Based on this estimate, Ricardo gave the go-ahead for refueling, which was done at the Porto Rotondo fuel station. Thus, Ricardo and his wife were fully aware of how much fuel would be needed for the chosen tour and its associated cost. However, the estimate turned out to be incorrect, favoring Ricardo, as they sailed for 4.5 hours in total instead of the planned 4 hours. Despite this, Ricardo was not asked to pay the price difference. Nor was any additional charge requested for the 2 extra hours of boat usage, as they returned at 8:00 PM instead of the scheduled 6:00 PM. Regarding the claim that he was told during the negotiation that the fuel cost would be around 500 euros, it should be noted that this estimate, as clearly shown in the messages exchanged in May, was made in anticipation of a short tour to visit places very close to Porto Rotondo, reachable in 30 minutes of navigation. Therefore, once again, Ricardo wrote something untrue. As for the statement that the fuel cost seemed excessive for the distance traveled, we point out that this statement is also contradicted by the fact that, before confirming the itinerary, the couple was shown the route on the plotter to go from Porto Rotondo to Mortorio and Capo di Coda Cavallo and return to Porto Rotondo for a total distance of 44 miles. 3) The cabin doors remained closed only during navigation for greater safety. Throughout the day, Ricardo and his wife never requested to use one, as they preferred to stay outside. 4) The boat has 5 very comfortable and well-finished sofas: 2 in genuine Valcona leather in the dinette and three on the flybridge, where Ricardo and his wife sat several times, in addition to two comfortable Valcona leather seats in the living area. All these features are extensively described in the boat’s specifications and are evident from the photos published in our listing, and therefore well known to Ricardo and his wife. 5) There are 3 tables: two internal inlaid teak and one external solid teak table, on which the Brazilian couple had lunch and drinks. What Ricardo refers to as folding chairs are actually very comfortable modern design armchairs. 6) The bow of the boat is so large that at least 6 people can comfortably lie down to sunbathe, which is not common on boats of the Grandecharliemax’s size. The jet ski, when not in the water, takes up very little space compared to the size of the bow, which has an area of about 25 square meters. All these features, contrary to Ricardo's claims, make the boat comfortable, a fact that is also evident from the numerous reviews (all 5 stars) left by people who have chosen our boat. Ricardo and his wife had at their disposal an 18-meter boat for the price of 1850 euros, which is the average price for renting 12-meter inflatables in Porto Rotondo. Lastly, in terms of comfort and onboard treatment, it should be emphasized that Ricardo, in his review, failed to mention that we provided the Brazilian couple with the following free of charge, with no extra fees: - Bath towels - A SUP board, which they used to reach the beaches - A tender (4-meter inflatable boat), which we used for excursions to the chosen locations - A four-course lunch served on a solid teak table using teak cutlery and crystal glasses - An Aperol Spritz aperitif served directly on the SUP in the water - They drank an entire bottle of renowned white wine, 4 beers, 4 Coca-Colas, and mineral water These circumstances confirm that Ricardo's review is far from "honest" and was published solely to discredit the boat's name.

We had such an amazing day with Massimo and Mustafa. Massimo is a fantastic host, skipper and chef. He guided us to truly beautiful locations, away from the more usual spots, and it was so worthwhile to see them. He also made the most amazing lunch for us and set us up in such a perfect spot for this. More than this, really personable and a great person to spend time with. Could not have asked for a better day out on the water than that spent with Massimo on the GrandCharlieMax. Very highly recommended.

Captain Massimo and his helper Mustafa were the best hosts. They cooked us a delicious lunch, take us a jet-ski tour, Massimo took beautiful photos of us. The boat is child friendly and so comfortable. The communication with Carlotta was also easy. Thanks for everything guys! See you!

We had the most beautiful experience with Massimo on his boat CharlieMax. If you are looking for fun and adventure then CharlieMax and its captain/crew is your best choice. The boat has everything you need to have for a fantastic vacation. A fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living room, scuba diving gear, paddle board, fishing poles, dingy, and even a jet ski. Words cannot explain the experience we had on CharlieMax. We visited the most amazing beaches and ports in Italy and France. We visited amazing islands where we scuba dived.(Massimo a certified instructor/diver) We discovered hidden bays where we snorkeled and used paddle board. Massimo knows every meter of these water ways, the currents, the amazing ports, and most importantly he knows how to maneuver his boat. We had nothing but confidence in his abilities as captain. We always felt comfortable and safe with him the entire journey, even in 4 meter seas. He is a fantastic captain and a great chef, always full of energy and enthusiasm. We had a fantastic trip and we hope to repeat this soon and cruise more through the Mediterranean. Thank you for your kindness and for being an amazing host Massimo and Mustafa (his assistant)!!! The experience was amazing: we really enjoyed the food was amazing, and the chef was incredible. In general, the rental was very successful and we spent a very good time. Owners were very nice and welcoming!

We recently had the pleasure of renting a yacht for the day with Massimo as our skipper, and the experience exceeded our expectations. From the moment we stepped on board, Massimo's warm and friendly demeanor made us feel right at home. He went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our day was perfect. One of the highlights was the meal Massimo prepared for us. Based on our preferences, he crafted exquisite dishes featuring rice, pasta, and shrimp that were simply delicious. His culinary skills are top-notch, and the meal added a wonderful touch to our already fantastic day. Massimo was incredibly accommodating, especially with our toddler. His friendly and patient nature made our little one feel comfortable and engaged throughout the trip. He also took us to some breathtakingly beautiful spots, tailoring the itinerary to our preferences and ensuring we had ample time to enjoy each location. We were so captivated by the experience that we decided to extend our trip by two hours. Massimo was very gracious about the extension and did not charge us extra, which was a generous and much-appreciated gesture. In summary, Massimo is an exceptional skipper who combines professionalism with genuine warmth and hospitality. We had a wonderful day with Massimo aboard the Grandecharliemax at the most beautiful sea. After our swim in the famous Cala Coticcio, Massimo and his colleague had prepared a wonderful meal of our choice, which was even better than what you would get at a restaurant, especially since Massimo is also a chef. The boat had lots of activities that my kids enjoyed with great pleasure! (Myself too😉) We loved the Sea Doo jet ski, which Massimo taught us how to use properly. If you want a great day to remember, I strongly recommend Massimo and his beautiful and amazing boat!
