After two wonderful weeks of vacationing in Croatia on the "Holiday," we'd like to share our experience with the boat and the Offshore Boote team: The welcome at Offshore Boote was warm – a beer for the adults and drinks for the kids, private parking with a free electric car charging station (you can also charge for free at any blue or red 16A port outlet if you bring your own cable) at the Offshore Boote pavilion. Contrary to what Click&Boat reported, we could have checked in well before 6:00 PM. If you check a week or two in advance to see if the Holiday is still available for the days before your rental, you can probably board in the morning. Almost everyone speaks some to very good German. Otherwise, English is perfectly acceptable both on site and in the ports. The briefing was rather quick, lasting only about 30 minutes, but because we had extensive experience on a similar yacht, we quickly got to grips with the onboard electrical system. The Staryacht 1670 "Holiday" was in very good visual condition – the high-gloss varnished wooden parts looked as if they had been painted within the last few years. We can confirm the spaciousness of the cabins and wet areas – as in the previous review. Everyone (4 adults, 4 kids) was satisfied with their cabin and the sleeping space in the cockpit. But the best place was the table on the aft deck, where eight of us comfortably sat for all our meals (we haven't seen such a spacious, largely wind- and sun-protected lounge area for the entire crew on any other boat!). Of course, in keeping with its 35 years of age, there were a few things that didn't (fully) work: the locking mechanism for the door to the toilet in the bunk bed compartment was broken, and we had to use a rubber band and a sponge to prevent the door from rattling in the waves. Some of the lights weren't working, and the autopilot wouldn't steer despite studying the manual (presumably a faulty hydraulic control). The bottom wooden rung of the swimming ladder was missing, and the top three gradually fell off (but we were able to save everyone -> to the Offshore Boats team: please secure them with solid, through-bolts in the future). But the biggest drawback was the list to port from the start and the presumably associated approximately 1 cm layer of diesel in the bilge. Until we had a technician visit to the port of Korcula, paid for by Offshore Boats, an oil slick quickly surrounded us in every harbor and every bay as soon as the bilge pump automatically switched on every few hours. The technician couldn't find a clear leak in either diesel tank, so he just pumped the entire bilge into canisters. Even before the technician's visit, we had been closing off one diesel tank at a time, which was improving the list day by day. The technician suspected a leaky tank hose or a leaky inspection hatch in the upper section of the port tank, which would release a little diesel into the bilge whenever the boat listed to port. The Offshore Boats team would have been happy to offer us a free extra day as compensation. As long as the leak isn't sealed, and to avoid the list, only fill the tank to just below the 4/4 gauge and always keep one tank closed. Here are some more tips for any new renters: if the davit pulleys squeak, a little vegetable oil helps; Before the last person goes to bed, fix any rattling points: Position the chairs so they don't wobble, hook the davit ropes together and tighten them under the gangway, clamp the railing hatch to the gangway with a piece of rope or something similar; don't pull the dinghy all the way up to the davit hydraulics, then tie it as far out as possible on the left and right, and then let it down a bit to tighten the ropes - otherwise the dinghy will rock noticeably. After heavy seas, we had to help drop the up to 70m anchor chain twice - once even by untangle the chain in the bow locker, but the plate anchor held reliably in all bays. If the starboard engine's tachometer isn't showing anything, just tap it on the main helm station. Don't forget to bring good kitchen knives. The cooling shaft on the aft deck is huge and can easily fit more than 50 bottles in it. With the bread maker, contact grill, and kettle grill, we were always excellently fed. Waterskiing behind the Holiday works perfectly – the dinghy, which can accommodate up to five people at 10 hp, was clearly too weak for it. Contrary to the description, the water tank switch is located under the floor hatch in the bow cabin. There's actually no ice maker or Wi-Fi, but there is a freezer compartment in the refrigerator, and good to excellent cell reception in almost all bays, as well as free Wi-Fi in many harbors. Many thanks to the Offshore Boats team and the "Holiday" for the wonderful vacation!

2 week cruise from Primosten. Let's start with what we loved: The Offshore team is very nice and very responsive (except on Sundays even in high season). Communication with Mateo is fluid via WhatsApp in particular. The boat is a perfectly designed model. Spacious double cabins fore and aft. A fairly spacious single cabin. The double cabin with bunk beds, however, is not recommended for claustrophobics! Each bedroom has its own shower toilet. 3 showers are real cabins. A shower is a shower over WC. The cockpit galley-dining room is large and comfortable. Very pleasant wooden interior. To our taste anyway. We don't bump into each other. We stand everywhere. The foredeck is equipped with mattresses. The outside steering is wide, comfortable and accessible. The rear deck is very large and very practical. The tender is hoisted with two gallows at the rear. Be careful not to touch the cables which tend to fray and cause painful cuts. We had more trouble with certain things, even if we got used to them. By 33 degrees in the middle of the islands on the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic, one is less difficult. The model dates from 1990. Not old in itself but on condition that the maintenance follows, which is not totally the case for this boat. - The ad says: wifi, ice machine, air conditioning. none of that on board - A lot of things unscrew and fall. Remember to ask for the toolbox which is under the seats in the saloon! - Check the appendix. We had to come back the second day to change ours which was flat. - It took 10 days to pump water into the toilets to get rid of the terrible smells. - in the middle of our cruise, the electric anchor windlass gave signs of weakness and finally let us down. Offshore sent us a mechanic to fix it but as my breakdown was random, no more anchoring in the bays. Condemned to buoys and marinas. Not our preference. Offshore was a good player and offered to change boats. Too far and too late. We decided to keep the Holiday Split until the end! Instead they agreed to compensate us for our misadventures by refunding 2 days of rental. So a piece of advice, go around the boat well and if it doesn't suit you, ask to change it from the start! Good cruise
