Yacht charter in Sorrento · Apreamare — Gozzo 38 (2009)

Life is a learning experience. Unfortunately I learned an undesired lesson with this booking. First, the booking stated there is pickup with this service. Not true. We were asked to meat the boat at the dock. Second, the boat was supposed to be available to start the day at 10am. It arrived at 10:30, due to port congestion. The booking should clearly state that this is a known issue. Third, the boat operator ( Captain of the day), was more interested in meeting his timeline for the day, rather than that of his guests. He was speeding through rough waters, which resulted in two guests becoming sea sick. The Captain's response, “Don’t get sick down in the cabin.” How about a bit of compassion. By the way, both individuals are former boat owners with no prior history of sea sickness. We decided to spend most of the day on Capri to limit ongoing motion sickness. We agreed to meet at the dock at 4:30 pm. Our final portion of the day was spent returning to Sorrento. We arrived and were docked by 5:30. As we paid a full days fuel charge (up front) and did not spend more than two hours boating, I requested a partial fuel refund. The Captain told me to “ call the Company later and ask for a refund.” After insisting that he call, we were finally refunded 200 Euro of the 500 Euro fuel charge. In short, I feel terrible about that day. I’m not sure who is at fault here: the boat owner, the Company the owns the Boat or Click and Boat of Sorrento. Regardless, I'll share. my story through multiple review platforms to ensure that more travelers aren’t misled.
