Imagine yourself surrounded by the idyllic scenery of whitewashed buildings, their traditional facades reflecting off the vibrant, electric blue waters. As you navigate the Greek waters, you'll have the opportunity to discover a diverse range of islands, each with its own unique character and allure.

You can book a yacht rental for a day, a weekend, a week or even longer. It’s also possible to rent with or without a skipper. For the time of check-in and check-out, please confirm directly with the boat owner.

Rent a catamaran with or without skipper in Greece?

Renting a catamaran with a skipper in Greece offers unparalleled benefits. A skipper's local expertise ensures you discover hidden coves and picturesque spots you might otherwise miss, enhancing your overall experience. They handle all sailing duties, allowing you to fully relax and immerse yourself in the stunning surroundings without any stress. Their knowledge of the waters significantly boosts safety, especially in unfamiliar or challenging conditions.

While renting without a skipper gives you privacy and control over your itinerary, it's best suited for highly experienced sailors. For most, opting for a skipper not only elevates your trip but also ensures a worry-free and thoroughly enjoyable catamaran adventure in Greece. Skipper prices vary depending on different factors such as the boat brand, on the length and on the boat capacity. Catamaran charters, with skipper, usually start at the price of €190/day.

Find the ideal catamaran for your next sailing trip

When searching for the perfect catamaran for your Greek sailing adventure, consider these key factors:

Capacity: Catamarans typically accommodate an average of 8–12 people, making them ideal for group outings or family vacations.
Cabins: Look for catamarans with multiple cabins to ensure comfort during overnight stays. Most catamarans offer 4–6 cabins, providing ample space for everyone on board. Additionally, check the number of berths or beds within each cabin to accommodate your group size.
Length: Catamarans vary in length, typically ranging from 35 to 60 feet. Longer catamarans offer more space and stability, while shorter ones provide a more intimate sailing experience.

By considering these factors, you can find the ideal catamaran to accommodate your group size and preferences, ensuring a memorable sailing experience in the beautiful waters of Greece.

Are there any extra facilities/activities?

Catamaran charters often provide a memorable experience, offering a range of additional facilities and activities. You can enjoy water sports like snorkelling, kayaking, or paddleboarding with the provided equipment. Some charters also provide Wi-Fi and professional crews for ultimate relaxation. Please check with the boat owner to be sure before booking your sailing trip.

How much does it cost to charter a catamaran in Greece?

When considering a Greece catamaran charter, many factors contribute to the overall price, including the rental period, duration, model and year of the vessel, fuel consumption, and the inclusion of additional services such as a skipper and/or crewed yacht. In most cases, catamarans are rented on a weekly basis, offering travellers the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the beauty of the Greek islands. You can rent a catamaran for a day with average prices ranging from €200 to €3,000 and weekly prices from €1,400 to €21,000, depending on the season.

Where to sail in Greece?

Whether in the Aegean Sea, the Saronic Gulf, the Ionian Sea or the Mediterranean, the islands of Greece will take your breath away. A true paradise for sailing lovers who can enjoy navigating from one archipelago to another.

Begin your journey in Rhodes, a captivating island that serves as a starting point and a reliable reference if you wish to explore the nearby islands: Chalki, Simi, and Karpathos. These three offer a delightful retreat for relaxation seekers. If you prefer larger islands, Kos awaits with its vineyards and abundant gardens, while Patmo provides a secure anchorage for peaceful nights.

Located southeast of Athens, the Cyclades archipelago boasts 210 islands and is the perfect destination for a catamaran rental in Greece. Sail in tranquillity amidst breathtaking landscapes and discover renowned islands such as Santorini and Mykonos. For a quieter experience, visit the charming Paros, Nassos, and Kalimnos. While docked at the ports, indulge in the culinary delights of the archipelago, savouring Greek salad, seafood, and local wine that will add a touch of lightness to your meals. Additionally, explore the island of Delos, known as the "Island of History", where the presence of Apollo's birth and Greek cultural legends still permeates the air.

Don't miss the captivating group of islands in the Northern Aegean, starting with Thassos, known for its lush forests. This sailing area offers ideal opportunities for short inland excursions, as the trees provide a refreshing escape from the summer heat. Wander through olive groves and pine forests, exploring picturesque mountain villages. Dive into the blue waters for thrilling activities such as rafting, kayaking, snorkelling, or even paddling board to observe the vibrant shades of the sea from above. Another island worth visiting is Limnos, home to some of Greece's most stunning beaches and a dormant volcano that once roared at its core.

We sailed to Egine (main marina), Poros (main marina), Hydra (Nikolaos) = an amazing cruise of one week :) Poros is well protected from N winds. It is a wonderful place to visit and there are very nice restaurants. I recommend. We didn't spend a lot of time in Athens. Maybe next time!
