Dubrovnik is a beautiful destination and exceeded our expectations. The old town is amazing with a lot of history, great food and clean streets. Boating around the islands is a perfect way to go snorkling, swimming and having lunches or dinners at remote locations.

Went down to the city of Cres. But in retro, it was a little bit too far in our opinion for a day trip. North of island Cres would have been enough and just spend more time in a few bays.

We had a great time on Ivan's boat in July when visiting Croatia. We chartered it ourselves and everything was easy to understand and navigate. 10/10 experience

An unreal experience that was super easy to have with the great communication, timeliness and expertise that came with Maro. The boat was as pictured (better in person), easy to handle and reliable in every way. Our whole experience was exemplified by how easy it was to get to a private spot to swim. I can only give a 5/5 but if I could I would give Maro many more. JUST BOOK THE BOAT, YOU WONT REGRET IT!!

Such a great trip! We would definitely do it again. Great service and communication as well!

How much does it cost to hire a motorboat in Croatia?

On the Click&Boat platform, diverse listings for motorboat rentals in Croatia await. The rental price is subject to variation, contingent upon factors such as the boat's type, make, and year of construction, the season, whether you hire a skipper, and any additional services, such as a crew.

But on an average, a motorboat rental in Croatia starts around €200/day in low season and €300/day in the high season.

What does it include?

Remember that there may be additional expenses such as fuel, skipper fees, food, and drinks. Some rentals offer extras like water sports equipment. Be sure to check for any extra charges or included features before booking.

Typically, renting a boat with a skipper costs around €100 per day and includes all necessary safety and navigation equipment. Often, the cost of hiring a skipper is included in the final price. Verify the rental details and included items with the boat owner before completing your booking.

Renting a motorboat with or without a skipper

We have fantastic news if you're eager to rent a motorboat in Croatia but lack a sailing licence. You can book your Croatia motor rental with a skilled skipper. This allows you to embark with an experienced professional, guiding you along the finest routes with expertise and ensuring your safety throughout the journey.

By opting for a motorboat rental with a skipper, you can leave behind any concerns or uncertainties that may arise from navigating unfamiliar waters. Instead, focus solely on indulging in long moments of relaxation and revelry. Allow yourself to unwind and immerse in the pleasures of the sea fully.

Renting without a skipper offers more freedom and can be less expensive, but requires adequate boating skills and a valid licence. Consider your experience level and preferences before deciding.

Renowned worldwide for its breathtaking coastline of over 2,000 kilometres, Croatia is one of the Mediterranean's premier destinations to explore by boat. Opting for motorboat hire in Croatia through Click&Boat offers the perfect solution for seamlessly navigating from one island to another.

While Croatia's unspoiled natural beauty is one of its most cherished attractions, its historical and artistic treasures and splendid medieval towns scattered along the coast further enhance its allure. Consider renting a motorboat in Istria to uncover the northern region, or in Split to explore the central and southern parts of the country.

The following are our suggestions for destinations in Croatia!

Dubrovnik: Known for its beautiful old town and impressive medieval walls, the city of Dubrovnik presents a delightful blend of history, culture, and coastal scenery.
Split: Situated along the Adriatic Sea, Split boasts a waterfront promenade, the renowned Diocletian's Palace, and easy access to nearby islands such as Hvar and Brač.
Zadar: Home to unique attractions like the Sea Organ and the Sun Salutation, Zadar offers a blend of ancient Roman ruins and a vibrant modern atmosphere.
Šibenik: This charming coastal town is an ideal starting point for exploring the stunning Kornati National Park, renowned for its archipelago of mesmerising islands and clear waters.
Pula: Steeped in history, Pula is famous for its well-preserved Roman amphitheatre and offers access to the Brijuni Islands, an archipelago boasting natural beauty and rich biodiversity.

Of course, no Croatian holiday is complete without indulging in its beaches. As you embark on your dream getaway, be sure not to miss the following Croatian beaches:

Zlatne Stijene Beach: With its cliffs and clear waters, this beach promises an idyllic escape in Istria.
Pasjač Beach: Tucked away in a hidden cove on the Pelješac Peninsula, this secluded gem offers tranquillity and natural beauty.
Zaton Beach: Situated near the historic city of Zadar, this family-friendly beach boasts shallow, clear waters and a range of water sports activities.
Punta Rata Beach: Located on the Makarska Riviera, this pebble beach is framed by lush greenery and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Split Harbor

The largest passenger port in Croatia, Split Harbor offers access to the beautiful Dalmatian islands and is located near the historic Diocletian's Palace.

Hvar Harbor

When is the best season to hire a motorboat in Croatia?

Like many Mediterranean destinations, Croatia has a considerable summer season, from late April to the beginning of October. The peak of the summer period occurs during July and August, offering superbly sunny days and creating an idyllic atmosphere for leisurely sailing and maritime exploration.

For those seeking a calmer experience, we recommend a holiday during the shoulder season. While the sun continues to grace the Croatian shores, this period offers a respite from the bustling crowds typically encountered during the peak months. As September unfolds, harbours and beaches gradually start to empty, presenting an opportunity to relish in the serene ambience and savour moments of utmost tranquillity and relaxation.

By opting for a Croatian getaway during the low season, you can fully immerse yourself in the coastline's natural beauty and revel in the freedom of open waters without the usual influx of tourists. Enjoy the undisturbed charm of picturesque coastal towns, discover hidden gems along the Adriatic, and create unforgettable memories against a backdrop of calm and serenity.
