Sailed from Saint Cyprien to Banyuls in one day and then back again the next day. Beautiful coastline and lovely beaches with plenty of places to stop for a swim. We hired Joel’s boat for 2 days and we were very happy with the boat and the assistance provided by Joel. He met us on the first morning and explained the boat In great detail. He helped us plan where to sail and stay for the night and the scenic spots to stop off for a swim. We stayed in Banyuls and it was a great recommendation. He also advised on how to book a slip for the night and how to use the booking app Navily. We’ve never sailed in France before and our language skills are quite limited so this was really helpful and made it easy for us. Joel takes great care of his boat and everything was ship shape. Thank you.

We spent a lot of time in the bay of Collioure including several nights, great for young children and adults alike! The capitainerie were very welcoming but Strongly advisable to book your buoy in advance (only possible on the site of the office de tourisme!)

StCyp is a large modern Port de Plaisance (2000+ yachts) offering all marine facilities and services you may require. The large bay "Golf de Lion" provides very good thermical winds around 15 to 25 knots even in Summer. Beware of weather changes though, coming downhill the Pyrenee Mountains. "Tramontana" winds can get very strong. Going further South from there to Port Vendres, around Cap Bear to Spain, Port de la Selva, around Cap Creus to Cadaques, L'Escala and L'Estartit, you will find pitoresque fisher Harbours and marvelous little bays with great anchoring and snorkeling spots.
