We all absolutely fell in love with Chania! We visited for a special occasion trip, and it was the perfect place to celebrate. We organised a private chef to cook us an incredible dinner at our villa and booked a table at the rooftop restaurant Pallas, which had amazing food, cocktails and beautiful views. Definitely order the Pacifico cocktail, one of the best we’ve ever had! Make sure to try plenty of traditional Cretan food, especially gyros, dakos and moussaka - we went to a restaurant called Perperas and absolutely loved it! Spend time wandering through the charming streets of the Old Town, exploring the little shops and strolling along the Venetian harbour, particularly at sunset. Chania has such a lovely atmosphere, with beautiful beaches, fantastic food and so many hidden gems. We couldn’t recommend it enough and would absolutely love to return!

We had an amazing day! Our skipper Armando showed us the most beautiful swimming spots and took us to a great restaurant with delicious food. He also provided fresh fruit, beer, wine, and water on board. Highly recommended!

we had an amazing time, we took our 13 month old baby onboard and felt so secure and safe, no issues at all, both Roula and Thomas were a delight and couldn't do enough for us, it was that good we was tempted to do it again a few days later but the north of the island, would definitely recommend.

If you don't have a boat license, renting a boat on the Click&Boat platform is no problem. With so many yacht charters to choose from in Greece, it is no surprise that it is possible to rent a boat without a license here. You are sure to find an option suitable for you even without a boat license. Depending on the size and type of the boat, you may not require a license to drive it - you should always check this with the boat owner via the Click&Boat platform's messaging system. In most cases, it is a popular choice to charter a yacht with a skipper or captain. Not only is your captain able to drive the boat for you and keep you safe but they also come in handy as a local expert. Your skipper will know all of the best spots. If you want to go snorkeling, your skipper will know the place to go. They will also be able to recommend you the best local restaurants, the most beautiful secluded beaches and be able to answer any other questions you may have about the boat, sailing or the local area of Greece.

What to do when sailing in Greece

Greece is a country that is made up of thousands of islands in the Aegean and Ionian seas and is as a result an extremely popular destination with tourists who want to sail both here and in the Mediterranean sea. Greece is famous all over the world for its history, mythology and cuisine. Make sure you visit Athens to ensure you make the most of the history and mythology that Greece has to offer. It is no wonder so many people choose to sail here. Lay back and let your skipper do all the work as they guide you calmly through the waves whilst you enjoy the warm Mediterranean sun. Renting a boat with a skipper can sometimes alter the price of your booking. Sometimes a skipper is an added extra and sometimes it is included in the initial price. We always recommend talking directly with the boat owners via the Click&Boat platform so that you know exactly what the role of your captain will be and how to best organise your yacht charter without license in Greece.
