Step aboard Spindrift and discover the Algarve from the water. Spindrift is a custom-built Lock Crowther catamaran that blends smooth sailing with laid-back comfort. With space for up to 18 guests, it’s the perfect setting for a private day at sea with friends or family — swimming, relaxing, and exploring hidden caves along the coast. All trips depart from Alvor. From here, you can cruise toward the famous caves of Lagos, anchor near the stunning Praia João de Arens caves by Ferragudo for a swim or paddleboard adventure, or relax in the Alvor Lagoon while watching the kitesurfers. Full-day charters can be tailored to your wishes, weather permitting. Charter Options & Pricing: Peak Season (June – August) Half Day (3.5 hours): €750 total Full Day (6 hours): €1,180 total Sunset Cruise (2.5 hours): €525 total Off-Peak Season (April, May, September, October) Half Day (3.5 hours): €675 total Full Day (6 hours): €980 total Sunset Cruise (2.5 hours): €495 total Prices include private boat rental. Skipper and fuel are included in the totals above and paid at the harbour. Optional catering is available at €30 per person, featuring fresh salads, a generous charcuterie board, fruit, and refreshing homemade sangria. We really enjoyed our trip with David and Julia. Being on the boat, enjoying the sun and cooling off in the sea while anchoring was really nice. At the end it was also possible to see the sundown. Absolutely beautiful for sure, but also a wholesome experience. At all the money was well spent and everybody had a fun day.
Our catamaran trip with the David and Julia was perfect! It was windy the day we went but they were able to make it comfortable for everyone. We were able to explore the beautiful sights of the Alvor area and swim through some caves. I have already recommended them to a friend that wants to visit Portugal. They also provided and delicious lunch. An overall 5/5 experience!!

The boat and tour was amazing. We were coming from about 40mins away and they offered to drive us to them once we were in Alvor. Even though we were a bit late they were very hospitable. They were okay with us just chilling on the net and bringing our own drinks and snacks. I would definitely recommend and I really want to go again!
This was definitely a highlight and good start of our trip in the Algarve area! Emma and David were amazing and, as a group of 4 girls, we felt comfortable and safe the whole time. The Catamaran was the perfect size for our group and we extremely appreciated having the boards to go to the caves. 100% recommended!

We had an amazing time with Theodorus and David. The crew are fantastic and it is a great boat. They know the right places to take you. The restaurant at the end based on their recommendation was one of our favourites in the Algarve.
The team were incredibly accommodating. The food provided was perfect! They allowed us to manage the day we wanted, jumping in the sea, using the paddleboards and just generally really fun group. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time! David was a very friendly skipper and helped us feel welcome and safe out on the water. We had time to relax, enjoy the beautiful coastline scenery, and explore little caves and beaches on paddle boards. Can’t recommend enough!
Theodorus was absolutely brilliant and communicated really well on the day regarding the change of weather. He even suggested delaying our booking into the afternoon in order for us to get better weather and a better experience on the boat - which we definitely did! We were able to get plenty of soft drinks, wine, and sangria on board! It was a lovely experience and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Our experience on the spindrift was amazing! We had such a wonderful time! Theodorus was great taking us to see amazing places. He shared with us his amazing life experience as a captain and made this an unforgettable trip! The boat was great very comfortable and safe! Would definitely repeat this trip!

What a wonderful day we had with our family with 4 teenagers aged 16. In the morning the weather was not quite perfect, and in consultation we were able to arrive an hour later. We were received by the captain and his 2 crew members. The welcome, the explanation and the whole day was super relaxing. The captain's stories were inspiring. We have been to beautiful caves where the normal tourist does not come. Really very special. Until next time!
