Overall rating
Avoid using Antibes boat company at all costs. We had booked this boat in the picture only to be told a day before after already paying that it had a technical fault. The owner did not speak any English and when we called on the day of the booking to check if it had been fixed nobody who spoke English was available. We then went to the Port and were told another smaller boat was available. We were pressured into signing the rental contract before even stepping on the boat once we did board, the toilet had a do not use sign and the captain explained that it was broken; something that was not shared with us before we hired the boat. One of our guests had IBS and could not be on a boat all day without proper toilet facilities. We cut our day short only spending 2 hours on the boat and asked that the afternoon be refunded. The company avoided our calls for a week and ultimately told us that they were too busy to talk about our refund and refused to even give a partial refund. Still charging us the full cost of the bigger boat we had booked even though they’d said we would only be charged for the price of the smaller boat.
The photo of the boat probably matched the ad when it was new, except that a few years later, the refrigerator was broken. So we had to settle for a small cooler, just like the boat, which was outdated... The audio system simply didn't work. Perhaps the boat's age again... The paint was peeling off the frames that held the canvas, and one of the sun loungers was unstitched, revealing the foam. Not to mention the welcome from "Jocelyne," who made it clear from the morning that you were tiring her out, probably like the boat itself... Luckily, the skeaper "Kevin" was adorable, which allowed us to have a great day despite everything. David Constant
