We had the most incredible experience renting Colibri yacht in Sardinia! Anna was welcoming, attentive, and made everything so easy from start to finish. The boat was spotless, perfectly equipped, and the entire day felt effortless and unforgettable. We can’t recommend this experience highly enough - truly a highlight of our summer! The Faraco Family
CLIENT: We went on a boat trip around Sardinia with high expectations, visiting paradisiacal places like the La Maddalena archipelago. The experience had everything to be perfect and in part, it was thanks to the impeccable work of Ana (the cook and onboard hostess) and Simone (the manager). Both were extremely kind, attentive, and did everything they could to make us feel comfortable and happy throughout the trip. Unfortunately, the downside and what ultimately defined the experience was the captain’s behavior. From the very beginning, he appeared grumpy, impatient, and showed zero willingness to make the trip special. When we arrived at the boat around 2:00 PM, he wasn’t even on board. As we stepped in, he treated it like an intrusion and scolded me, as if we weren’t authorized to enter. It was an awkward and unpleasant start. During the trip, he was also rude to my 2 year old nephew, saying “don’t touch anything” when he saw the child curiously looking at the steering wheel even though the engine was off. On the first day, he refused to leave the marina, claiming the wind was too strong, even though the weather was stable and safe enough to at least explore the nearby bay. As a result, we lost an entire day anchored in place, paying for a service that wasn’t delivered. We could have spent that day enjoying Sardinia on land, but instead we were stuck on the boat. On the last day, already at the La Maddalena archipelago, he once again anchored the boat too early and simply stayed put, without suggesting or offering any routes or beaches for us to visit. He anchored at an uncomfortable buoy where the boat kept rocking, and we had to insist several times before he finally moved it to a safer position. Since we already knew the region, it was even more evident that he didn’t take us to the most beautiful beaches, nor did he make any effort to move around or explore. Even with the fuel being paid for by us, he avoided any extra movement and made everything we asked seem like a burden. When he did stop the boat, it was always very far from the shore. Even swimming to the beach was difficult, while other boats even larger ones were anchored much closer to the sand. The boat is great, the destination is spectacular, and Ana and Simone were outstanding. But the captain’s attitude and lack of willingness deeply compromised the experience. A trip with such potential, in such an amazing place, deserved a captain up to the task. Unfortunately, that’s not what we had. OWNER: Dear André, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your experience aboard Colibrì III. We are truly pleased to hear your kind words about Ana and Simone. They both take great pride in creating a welcoming and attentive atmosphere, and your recognition of their efforts means a lot to us. At the same time, we are deeply sorry to learn that certain aspects of your trip did not meet your expectations, particularly regarding the behavior and attitude of the captain. Please know that this is not the standard of hospitality and service we aim to deliver, and we take your concerns very seriously. Safety is always our first priority, and captains sometimes must make decisions based on weather, sea conditions, and local regulations. However, we fully understand that the way these decisions are communicated is just as important as the decisions themselves. It’s clear from your feedback that in this case, the tone and approach did not reflect the spirit of service and care we expect from our crew, and for that, we sincerely apologize. We have already addressed this situation internally to ensure that future guests enjoy not only the beauty of our destinations but also a consistently warm and proactive crew attitude throughout their journey. Your review is helping us improve, and for that, we are genuinely grateful. Colibrì III was created to be a place of shared joy, discovery, and connection with nature. We hope to have the opportunity in the future to welcome you again and offer the full experience as it was intended. Warm regards, Team Colibrì III
Boat in mint condition. Very nice and professional crew, which makes the difference. Really appreciated the days onboard. Want to come again!
The Colibrí experience was made special by Giuseppe and Anna's hospitality. They patiently handled our family group, which included two very young children, aged 2 and 1. They recommended the best beaches based on the weather conditions on each day, and special mention goes to Anna for delighting us with delicious seafood!
