We were incredibly lucky to have found Captain Tolga and his beautiful boat Freya, which turned out to br the holiday of a lifetime! Not only were our family of 4 ( including two boys) looked after incredibly well the whole week, and all our MANY requests were not only fulfilled. - but usually surpassed with a smile 😍 Captain Tolga was a very generous host, allowing us to treat Freya as our own home for the week.. Even turning a blind eye( and ear!) to the inevitable family fracas that erupted over the week - given such confined living 🫣 And what an amazing home Freya was! My husband and I have had a lifetime of boating experiences - but never have we come across such well equipped, well maintained quarters, packed with every modern convenience you could want! We regularly put the galley thorough her paces with some of our elaborate 3 course meals😝. ( it really helped to re-up our supplies from the floating Migros boat!! ) The boys even managed to catch some of the key tournament matches in the middle of nowhere- purely because of Tolga’s tenacity and ingenuity 🙏🏼 And talking of floating facilities .. I do not think there can be a better organised area in the world, than the coast around Gocek and Fethiye to enhance a cruising holiday. We visited world class marinas and beach clubs, and overnighted in peaceful secluded bays with only mountain goats for company, interspersed with the occasional visiting boat selling iced coffee or Michelin-starred Mezze- not to mention swimming in millennia old ruins! All within the space of 5 days!! A lot of this variety and ease of movement was totally down to Captain Tolga .. he helped us create and reserve the ideal itinerary.. honing it until we achieved the perfect mix of unique experiences. He even managed to magic up some wind to get the sails out, and have us sailing through the open water at a rate of 6 knots!! The communication between us was top notch and super reactive from the start, and no issue was too big to overcome ( given flight delays and last minute change of plans ) so much that even now, we still miss the carefree moments of camaraderie we found on board! Can’t wait to come back and do it all over again- just like many of his existing clients. My advice is don’t even hesitate .. grab any free spots in the booking calendar whilst you can!!

Our family of three spent an unforgettable week sailing aboard Freya with Captain Tolga. This was our third year chartering a yacht, having previously sailed in Croatia and Sardinia, so we had a good basis for comparison. Freya is in immaculate, like-new condition, and sailing on such a modern yacht made a noticeable difference in both comfort and overall enjoyment. Captain Tolga knows the Göcek area inside and out and always found the most beautiful bays and the best places to anchor. The Göcek bays are absolutely stunning, with calm, crystal-clear waters surrounded by dramatic mountains. It’s one of the finest sailing destinations we’ve experienced. Captain Tolga reserved excellent mooring buoys where the boat was secured with two stern lines and one bow line, creating a remarkably stable setup that felt like having our own private swimming area. It was a unique experience unlike anything we’d encountered in Croatia or Sardinia. One of the things that makes Göcek so special is how well it’s equipped for boaters. There’s a full-service grocery store at the Fethiye marina before you depart, and once you’re on the water, grocery boats can deliver virtually anything you need directly to your yacht. Ice cream boats make regular rounds through the bays during the day, and even floating BBQ boats come alongside to prepare fresh meals right next to your boat. The boating infrastructure is truly exceptional. The only downside was dining ashore. We ate at three different waterfront restaurants, and while they ranged from mediocre to good, none were exceptional. Main courses start at 50 euros. If you’re considering a sailing holiday in southern Turkey, I can’t recommend Captain Tolga and Freya highly enough. The impeccable condition of the boat, Captain Tolga’s expertise and local knowledge, and the extraordinary beauty of the Göcek bays made this one of our favorite family vacations. His outstanding reviews are thoroughly deserved, and after spending a week aboard Freya, it’s easy to understand why.

An exceptional skipper with an exceptionally well equipped and well kept boat. Together with my kids aged 13, 10 and 10, I spent 9 nights on the Freya in August 2024. Already during the booking process, Tolga was super helpful and quick in responding to the many questions I had. Everything stated in the description and everything he wrote to me was 100% accurate. Arriving at the boat, the first question I asked myself was whether we are the first guests on board. The boat was so incredibly clean. Freya is in excellent shape and had all the equipment and comfort to make our Journey from Fethiye to Kaleköy and back an unforgettable experience. The cabins beds are very comfortable even for a 56 year "young" back and the fact that there are three toilets and three showers on board is a real luxury. Toilets and showers also gave me the impression they had not been used before us (which is actually not the case :-) ). On each bed we found wonderful welcome gifts that made us feel immediately at home and part of the Freya crew. The main room which also includes the kitchen is very big and the kitchen is as clean as the rest of the boat ("Has this been used before?", "Yes...", "But it is so clean!") and very well equipped (including an air fryer!). What you can read in the other comments about Tolga's professionalism, seaman knowledge and helpfulness I can all confirm. In addition, Tolga gave excellent advice for shopping opportunities and restaurants. What impressed me most, however, was how he dealt with my three "vulcano-energy driven" sons. Always friendly, jokingly but also very watchful for their safety at all times. This helped me to also get a lot of relaxation during what I can call the best holiday of my life so far. In summary I wholeheartedly recommend Tolga and the Freya to you, you will not regret it.
