We really enjoyed our time their yacht. The boat was clean, well-maintained and sailed well. It was also well-equipped with everything from coffee to snorkels. The kayak meant we were able to drop anchor and paddle to shore which was very convenient. There are a few things to bare in mind when booking: - The yacht is on dry mooring which is only accessible occasionally throughout the day. Good to consider when booking travel. The mooring is either a 35 minute drive from La Rochelle or almost 2 hours on public transport. Taxi’s are very expensive in the area so plan accordingly. - Chris speaks good English and was very helpful throughout the time answering any queries quickly via text, however, his partner gave a tour of the boat and she doesn’t speak English so it was quite difficult for us. Although it is in France so it could be expected. Overall we had a great time and I’m happy to have rented their boat.

Excellent charter experience! Homer II is superbly equipped, with everything you need on board to navigate comfortably and safely (plotter, brand new VHF, very complete on-board electricity, AIS transmission/reception, comprehensive documentation and tools on board, etc.). The list would be too long but there is everything you need and much more (BIB, enough dishes, dock extensions, water hose adapters/endpieces, removable forestay, EPIRB, 12V television, electronic anemometer/wind vane in working order, pilot, SHOM paper charts, enough well-inflated fenders, solar panel, cartridge life jackets, tethers and lifeline, etc., etc.) Smooth communication with Christophe, warm welcome and quick handling. Lots of detailed advice from him that we unfortunately were not able to use due to the weather and the short rental time, but it is only a postponement. It is obviously very well maintained, no problems even upwind in strong winds, the winch mechanism is smooth, the genoa furler is good, the mainsail is easily hoisted, etc. The engine shows no signs of weakness. It is a boat made for sailing. I will not hesitate to sail this sailboat again in the future!

Christophe and his Sun Odyssey provided us with a wonderful two-week experience! His excellent advice and a modern, easy-to-navigate boat allowed us to find beautiful anchorages between Oléron and the Île de Ré. The boat's comfort is superb, allowing us to sail up to the Île d'Yeu effortlessly. Everything is there to maximize our enjoyment, from the paddleboard, the kayak, and the swimming and fishing accessories! We will be delighted to return aboard Homer 2!!! Thank you, Christophe. We spent an excellent weekend aboard Homer II. The waters are very pleasant, with the various islands easily accessible. The sailboat is very well equipped and well maintained. Christophe also gave us a solent, which we really appreciated on a rather windy day.

Christophe is a great owner, responsive and very accommodating. We rented his boat to see the start of the Vendée Globe; everything went well and he advised us on where to sleep etc. We had a great weekend aboard his Sun Odyssey!

Very warm welcome from Christophe, meticulous, accommodating and with good advice, the boat is very well equipped, functional, the kayak and the paddle are a real plus for marauding at anchor, we had an excellent family stay.
We were very happy with our cruise in the Pertuis d'Antioche. The boat is in very good condition and very well equipped. The fact that it is a dinghy is essential in the region and allows easy access to all ports. Finally, communication with Christophe was easy.
We really enjoyed Christophe's boat. The play area is superb with easy and quick access to the different islands (Aix, Ile de Ré, Oléron, etc.). The town of Fouras is very pleasant and very pretty. The port is nice, just manage the tides well to get in and out. The boat is good, easy to sail. Just add a GPS feed in the cockpit.

Despite poor weather, we were able to make optimum use of the boat's capabilities. This is ideal for exploring the navigation basin provided by departure from the charming port of Fouras. The boat is super equipped and its size was perfect for our crew of two people, especially at anchor and during port maneuvers. The asymmetrical spinnaker offered at no extra cost allowed us to maintain an acceptable average speed in this magnificent but choppy weather. The handling and return without any hassle is pleasant and shows Christophe's generosity and his sense of welcome

Very well equipped boat and easy to maneuver. Very useful lifting fin in BM (the TE goes from 1.80m to 0.80m). Rigging and navigation instruments in excellent condition with a new genoa (May 2023). This boat is very well maintained by its owner Christophe who was very friendly and accommodating. A final word on the site which is truly superb! (Fouras, the island of Aix, the Charente...). A great family memory.

It's true that he knows the area by heart. 4-day sail around the Antioche and Breton straits, he gave us good advice, and the boat could not be more suited to this type of cabotage. Very nice navigation on Homer II that Christophe is pampering. Well equipped, easy to maneuver and its lifting fin is a real plus in the Perthuis and for going up the Charente on the wise advice of Christophe. However, pay attention to the tide times because you can only leave the port of Fouras at PM +\-1.5h

Pleasant family cruise aboard Christophe's sailboat well suited to the sailing area. Most of the maneuvers and adjustments are available from the cockpit, which facilitates autonomous management of the boat. Departing from Fouras, we were able to spend a few days on the charming nearby island of Oléron. Christophe is very available to answer any questions. Stay too short to exploit all the possibilities of the boat, so we have to do it again...

Thanks to the kindness of Christophe, we were able to maintain our sailing weekend despite the cancellation of our initial reservation the day before departure. This weighted dinghy is a real asset in the straits because it allows you to anchor in almost deserted places because they are inaccessible to keelboats. In addition, the sailboat is relatively efficient under sail thanks to its full batten mainsail and a recent genoa. I highly recommend this sailboat (ideally for 4 crew members max). Our rental went well. Christophe is a serious and friendly owner. The boat is well suited for 3 people. Its small size and shallow draft (dinghy) make it easy to explore the whole region. It is well equipped and works well under sail.
