Yacht charter in Nea Peramos · — Bavaria 51 Cruiser (2019)

Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience. The air conditioning didn't work, the swim platform broke, and we had to stop in port to fix it. We had to pay for the repair without compensation from the owner. The explanations about the boat's operation and the boat reception process were terrible. They handed us the boat over without mentioning the many defects it had. We identified some and sent photographs documenting them. Others went unnoticed. To top it all off, at checkout, they tried to hold us responsible for a multitude of damages to the boat, accusing us of hitting the boat, which is untrue. On the second night, while entering a cove, we tangled a floating line in the propeller. The engine stopped. We removed the line and were able to continue sailing without problems for five more days. We reported the accident to the owner. Upon arriving at the port, after the underwater inspection, the owner said the propeller was moving and needed to be fixed. He quoted a cost of €1,250. Totally exaggerated. We couldn't reach an agreement. We had to go to the port authority, and the captain himself tried to reason with the owner, assuming he was wrong. We offered to pay €400 for the repair, but no agreement was reached. The next morning, the last day of the charter, we waited for him to check out, but no one showed up. When we got in the taxi, we saw the owner hiding behind some cars. The experience with the boat and the owners couldn't have been worse. I couldn't recommend anyone to hire the services of Yachting. We're still waiting for the release of the €2,500 deposit we left.
