Description of Maurizio's catamaran
Catamaran Lagoon Lagoon 400 13m
Every day we depart aboard a spacious and comfortable catamaran. You will live an experience in contact with the nature of the Marine Protected Area of Tavolara and Molara. A special excursion, departing from the port of Olbia, located in a strategic position to visit the islands of Tavolara and Molara. while sailing towards the splendid Tavolara we could spot dolphins that are looking for food in these areas. Arriving in Tavolara, where we will stop for just over an hour for swimming in turquoise water and to visit the island and its beaches, where you will be enchanted by discovering the stories related to the "King of Tavolara". Tavolara is an island that emerges from the sea like a granite colossus dotted with Mediterranean greenery that gives its name to the marine protected area around it. The island is known as the smallest kingdom in the world. Tavolara is a limestone and granite mountain that rises from the sea, 560 meters high, four kilometers long, characterized by impervious rocks, by the imposing and dizzying verticality and by the splendid chromatic tones: the green of juniper, rosemary and mastic, in combination with the light blue, blue and emerald green of the surrounding waters. The island, with its elongated and almost flat shape, is the center, as well as the characterizing symbol of an unforgettable spectacle: the marine protected area of Tavolara-Punta Coda Cavallo, which extends for 76 kilometers along the coast. Here you can swim, snorkel and enjoy an excellent aperitif with typical Sardinian products washed down with excellent typical Sardinian Vermentino wine. You will then sail to Molara, making another stop for swimming and lunch in the splendid area of the "Piscine di Tavolara", where we will have lunch floating on a turquoise sea, a stretch of sea between the island and the coast where the turquoise color of the water and its transparency will take your breath away and amaze you. On the return sail, weather permitting, the skipper will choose another cove for a last swim of your choice among the wonderful bays of Porto Istana, Cala Girgolu, the three sisters of Capo Ceraso or Cala Moresca: the choice will be up to the skipper depending on the wind of the day. The relaxing return sail will be dedicated to the search for dolphins that often come to visit us in this area: it is not guaranteed! .... they are free ... and we want them that way! ... LUNCH Lunch will be served on board and includes: a typical aperitif based on typical products; followed by lunch, cooked on board, based on pasta with fish according to recipes of the characteristic Sardinian cuisine and in addition: Vermentino wine, beer, fruit, Sardinian sweets and myrtle, the typical Sardinian liqueur extracted from the characteristic Mediterranean vegetation of these islands. If there are food intolerances or special requests, we confirm that they cannot be managed on the boats, so in this case we recommend the packed lunch. We recently enjoyed a magical day on a catamaran charter out of Olbia, Sardinia, filled with sunshine, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Our incredible crew, Theresa and Massimo, made the experience truly special with their warmth and hospitality. They provided delicious snacks and refreshing drinks throughout the journey, and a delicious lunch, showcasing the best of local flavors and giving us a true taste of Sardinia’s culinary delights. Throughout the day, Theresa and Massimo shared fascinating stories about the history of the places we visited, enriching our experience with insights into the culture and heritage of the region. We also enjoyed sampling Mirto, a traditional Sardinian liqueur, which added an authentic touch to our culinary adventure. The kids had a blast playing on the beach. We wholeheartedly recommend this boating experience to everyone! Whether you’re a family looking for a fun day out with the kids or a couple seeking a romantic getaway, this catamaran charter is the perfect choice. Thank you, Theresa and Massimo, for an unforgettable day filled with joy, laughter, and a genuine taste of Sardinian culture! We can't wait to return!
We had an excellent cruise on a Lagoon 400 from Maurizio. Communication with him was prompt and informative. He even had the flexibility to change the charter day at short notice due to poor weather. The crew, Massimo and Teresa were simply outstanding. Lovely people who took fantastic care of us and made our day truly memorable.
Captain and mate were great
