Overall rating
Boat generally in excellent condition, small issue with the outboard that was overheating, fixed by our skipper. Very good organization and helpful messages, but in the end too many automated messages including messages during the night that we were navigating, when we were not.
Hello, We would like to express our dissatisfaction with our summer charter in Sardinia with Yachting Sardegna via Click&Boat. From the outset, we were confronted with a blatant lack of preparation and professionalism: _ The water tanks were empty, forcing us to waste time refilling them. _ The gas cylinders were also empty, forcing us to request new ones before we could leave. Due to these shortcomings, our departure on Saturday, August 2nd, was delayed by more than two hours. The skipper's contract was only sent to him a few hours before boarding, which is particularly surprising...and unprofessional. Regarding the boat, we noted numerous malfunctions and shortcomings, affecting both safety and comfort on board: Safety and Compliance: No anchor light, unreliable fuel gauge, poorly secured starboard and port pulpits, and poorly anchored aft cleats. Defective or inoperative equipment: Seawater tap in the galley broken, windlass release system inoperative, broken grill button, missing cockpit locker actuator, broken can opener, fridge not properly closed (ice and tongs stuck at the bottom of the fridge). Ropes: The ropes were in poor condition and poorly maintained, which is a safety issue. Forward bathroom: The pump activates randomly, requiring it to be turned off and on again after each use. Black water valve inoperative: This malfunction put us in violation of regulations while sailing in the Maddalena National Park and in certain coves, where the discharge of black water is strictly prohibited by maritime regulations. Dinghy: The engine carburetor was defective and only worked half the time. Each time we tried to reach a cove, the dinghy would fail, which severely limited our travel and sightseeing. It is important to note that our skipper, Mr. Jérémie Coste, a former maritime architect and experienced skipper, was very resourceful and had to undertake several repairs during the voyage to address the boat's deficiencies. Without his expertise and interventions, the situation could have been much more problematic. Finally, regarding the return of the boat: We met the deadlines and experienced a slight delay of barely 15 minutes, entirely due to the dinghy malfunction. This delay was, however, attributed to the skipper, and the company imposed a penalty, even though we had to wait over an hour at Punta Nuraghe to secure a berth. On Sunday morning, we returned the boat at 8:30 a.m., in an impeccable state of cleanliness (inside and out). Despite this, the company attempted to fine us for an alleged half-hour delay, which we consider excessive. In view of all these factors—contractual breaches, lack of professionalism, poor boat maintenance, and potential danger due to the lack of regulatory equipment—we believe we suffered serious harm throughout this charter. We are therefore requesting a goodwill gesture commensurate with the inconveniences experienced, or even a partial refund, to compensate for the shortcomings noted. We ask that this feedback be acknowledged by Click&Boat and that an appropriate response be provided to us as soon as possible. Sincerely, Pearl GOURDON
Totally shocked by the methods of this Charter. ; deposit scam. I reserved a tender engine for €120, during check-in, it was tested on its chair (RAS). At the first launch, the propeller was spinning in a vacuum. In good faith, I immediately reported the malfunction to Charter: the key was half broken and oxidized and the other part was twisted and had completely eaten away the plastic propeller. As the charter was unable to remedy this where we were, I requested a refund upon return. This didn't seem to be a problem. Back at the port, during check out, not only was I not refunded the €120 but I was charged €100 for repairs on the pretext that I had hit a rock. ;However, it is obvious that the problem was going back a long way. Furthermore, in the description, it was indicated that the boat was equipped with wifi and solar panels but this was not the case. There were also USB sockets that did not work. But for all these points, no compensation from the Charter, it only works in one direction. Finally, after the first use of the sail, a pulley broke. We replaced it at our expense for an amount of €70. I later noticed that a piece of plastic that we had found on the deck before departure belonged to the pulley. It was therefore defective before departure but the Charter did not want to recognize this either. In short, I would like reimbursement of the 120€ for the rental of the annex engine + 100€ of undue repair costs and 70€ for the pulley. On the other hand, I would like to point out the incessant harassment at the end of the stay to return the boat on Friday before 5 p.m. (SMS, WhatsApp, phone call). Ditto for refueling. Finally, I find the times more than limited: authorization to leave the port on Saturdays at 8 p.m. and return on Fridays before 5 p.m.... It's excessive. . I invite you to look at the reviews on Google. I await a response from you on all these points. Kind regards - Ludovic
