Description of Emmanuel's sailboat
Sailboat Beneteau First 35 10.7m
Hello everyone, I'm offering my 1980 sailboat for charter, completely refitted since November 2022. This First 35 is a very seaworthy sailboat, especially when sailing upwind, and can accommodate between 6 and 8 people for enjoyable sailing. It has 3 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom/toilet, and a saloon with 3 single berths. The sailboat has an L-shaped galley (oven/gas stove/fridge). Plenty of storage space is provided, with a very large chart table. A large locker aft of the cockpit will be very useful. You can sail around Toulon, to Cavalaire, Saint-Tropez, and as far as the Calanques de Cassis. Sailing to Corsica is not permitted! It is also very well-equipped and fully self-sufficient, with two solar panels, a spacious 130L refrigerator, and 390L of fresh water (two 220L water tanks + 150L under the saloon benches + a 20L hot water tank). The boat has been refurbished: - Freshwater system piping from 2022 - Water tanks from 2022 (370L) - Domestic water meter - Two SAHARA automatic bilge pumps from 2022 - Seawater foot pump from 2022 - Cockpit shower with mixer tap from 2022 - Smoked deck portholes and side panels from 2022 - Custom-made bimini from 2022 (new equipment) - Custom-made coachroof sprayhood from 2022 (new equipment) - Custom-made lazy bag from 2022 (Delta Voile) - Deck paint + anti-skid Completely redone in 2022 - 10-link anchor chain from 2022 (50m in total) + new anchor - Antifouling redone in September 2024 (Altura 619) - Keel rebuilt (sanded + Primocon + antifouling) in May 2023 - New FACNOR LS180 furling genoa in August 2025 - New forestay in August 2025 Additionally: - 2 solar panels (2 x 100W), fully autonomous even with the refrigerator permanently plugged in + autopilot - 3 battery banks: service (2 x 170A), electric windlass (x2), engine (x1) - Several sails including 1 furling genoa + mainsail with 2 classic reefing lines + storm jib - 27hp Yanmar engine completely rebuilt in early 2024 (valves, pistons, cylinders, gaskets, etc.). Diesel tank capacity: 80L - AUTOHELM 2000 autopilot - Recent Humminbird HELIX 9 GPS/fish finder with its thru-hull transducer (fish detection) - 1 fixed NAVICOM RT-550 DSC VHF + 1 portable VHF - AIS AIT5000 B+ transponder - SONY radio + interior speakers (very good sound) - DOLPHIN fixed shore charger + 12V/220V converter, practical for sailing - 1 electric windlass - 1 new 24-hour offshore liferaft (6 people) wedged in the cockpit. - 1 tender + its 3.5hp Tohatsu outboard engine, which can be suspended from the solar panel gantry between coastal voyages. - 1 teak platform on the transom, practical for boarding or disembarking, with its stainless steel telescopic ladder. Excellent week aboard the Aïa. Very good communication with Emmanuel, always very good advice. I recommend!
Great week on board.
Perfect
Emmanuel's sailboat is old but very seaworthy and pleasant to sail. Emmanuel is very accommodating and attentive if necessary. The week went well on Aïa. We sailed and anchored on Porquerolles Port Cros Hyères and at the Garonne. Toulon is a very good starting point for all these destinations.
Great boat, well equipped and easy to sail. Very comfortable, we spent a week on board with 4 people without any problems (we could have been more without any problems). Emmanuel is very available and full of good advice. The boat has all the necessary equipment for life on board as well as for sailing. We will happily return to this boat.
Great week with the family aboard Aia! Emmanuel was very welcoming, facilitative, and available. The boat is as described with the great advantage of solar panels for total autonomy in electricity throughout the week.
Sailboat as advertised, Emmanuel took the time to guide us in handling the sailboat, we spent a wonderful week on the Aia.
Excellent stay aboard Aia 2. Beautiful boat, seaworthy, fast for the comfort that reigns on board! Charming interior. Excellent cruise for 6 friends for 1 week to Marseilles and its Callanques. Emmanuel super accommodating for arrival and departure. The best!
We had a great week on Aia! The boat is of its age but it is very well maintained by its owner. Aia is efficient and completely suitable for a week of family cruising. Amazing sailing area!! The engine unfortunately failed on the last day but Emmanuel was very responsive and allowed us to return to the port safely. He was also available to us throughout the cruise for any questions. I recommend !
As there wasn't much wind, we couldn't get a precise idea of the boat with a bit of a steady wind. In addition, having had a problem with the toilets (due to human error, the equipment was not defective) we had 2 days less of navigation. We have not experienced reefing, sailing at all speeds... We were still able to sail under sail but with a light wind. The boat behaved well It is solid and inspires confidence We found this boat to be well maintained but showing its age It is very well equipped: large water cows, water heater, small fans... The use of water cows is simple. Emmanuel, you took time with us to show us the sailboat. Emmanuel listened to us when we had to deal with the problem of the toilets. The annex was not in very good condition but Emmanuel reimbursed us for the costs incurred to repair it. A flat compared to the button of the windlass which is not protected enough in my opinion. There must have been some kind of cover that prevented people from stepping on it and the guide from starting to work, which happened to us. (I had made an extra turn of the chain around the windlass as advised, which blocked the assembly well) The windlass works well. The engine runs well. We enjoyed the anchorages and swimming from the rear deck. That's what I can say. Patrick Joubert
Boat as described. The boat is quite old but has been well renovated and equipped by Emmanuel. Friendly welcome. I recommend.
Excellent sailboat well renovated. Very nice home. Great availability on the phone during the cruise. Very comfortable bimini and new sprayhood. Very complete general equipment. Sails in good condition.
We spent a pleasant week aboard Aya, the first 35 refitted by Emmanuel at the start of 2021. Very pleasant under sail and a high-performance engine, it has nothing to envy to new boats in this area. Aging interior but Emmanuel has done what is necessary to provide all the necessary comfort on board.
