Why rent a sailboat in Hyères?

Renting a sailboat in Hyères will allow you to discover the French coastline in complete peace of mind. Sailing is a unique opportunity to sail along the French Riviera. You will be able to explore the various islands and creeks around Hyères or even why not, try a crossing to Corsica.

Exploring the coastline from the sea on a charter sailboat is a great opportunity to enjoy a relaxing moment with family or friends. On board you can easily set off to explore the island of Porquerolles, located in the direct vicinity of the port of Hyères. After a short sail, you can anchor off the Notre Dame beach or the Langoustier beach, time to refresh yourself or explore the sea bed with a mask and snorkel.

Discover also the parc national de Port Cros or the île du Levant. Then, returning inland, the Gien peninsula will offer you a superb coastal panorama and a breathtaking view of the town of Hyères.

Hiring a sailboat in Hyères is a great opportunity to escape to one of the most beautiful sailing regions in France.

Our favourite destinations around Hyères:

3 highlights of a sailboat cruise on the French Riviera :

  1. A plethora of beautiful places accessible only by sea
  2. A sunny region for a large part of the year
  3.  A great cultural wealth

What to see in Hyères?

Sailing aboard a sailboat from Hyères will take you along the Côte d'Azur coastline between Cassis and Saint-Tropez. Start with Cap Bénat and its wild pine forests, stopping off at the Fort de Brégançon, the summer residence of the President of the Republic. Pass the cape, the coastline is revealed ever more beautiful, between Lavandou and the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.

The Calanques National Park, located west of Hyères in the direction of Marseille, is another natural paradise that can be discovered very easily aboard a sailing boat. From the port of Cassis, you can explore this stretch of coastline classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. A wild and preserved enclave that promises an unforgettable discovery for your sailing boat rental in Hyères.

Our favourite ports of call on a sailboat cruise in Hyères:

  • The Golden Islands: Levant, Port-Cros, Porquerolles
Off the Giens peninsula, you can reach the "3 pearls of the French Riviera" otherwise known as the "Golden Islands". These wild islands preserved from human activity are real natural jewels to discover on foot or by bike.

  • Frioul :
Off the coast of the Endoume district in Marseille, you can find the Frioul islands. This archipelago includes the islands of Pomègues, Ratonneau and If. Pomègues and Ratonneau are linked by the Berry dam and are two wild islands where you can escape from time.

  • Calanques de Marseille:
Port-Pin, Morgiou, Sugiton... The Calanques National Park is a must-see during a sailing cruise on the French Riviera. It extends over more than 20 km of coastline and offers exceptional landscapes from Marseille to Cassis.

  • The Cap Taillat in Saint-Tropez:
This isthmus of the Saint-Tropez peninsula is a real green lung. You can anchor on one side or the other depending on the wind. Take advantage of this to go for a walk on one of the coastal paths to admire the beautiful panoramas.

  • The Lerins Islands off Cannes:
This archipelago is an unmissable excursion from the bay of Cannes. It retains a wild identity that attracts many boaters. Our favourite anchorage is between Sainte-Marguerite Island and Saint-Honorat.
