I recommend Montenegro for old towns, great restaurants by the water, lively evenings. We didn’t go to Budva which likely has a greater nightlife but we loved Kotor as a vibrant evening out, Herze Nova (old town) for its restaurants and pubs. The coast line has many fish restaurants that can be less expensive as the towns but with great dishes and wines.
I also recommend getting your hiking boots on and to go on any of the many walking routes which are clearly marked and well maintained. You get some great views from the top and you can often walk into historic forts and structures.

On August 12, 2025, we chartered Radivoj’s 19s boat Ranieri to take a tour of the Boka Kotorska Bay. We did not take advantage of his skipper service because we had a boat license.
Radivoj was helpful, professional and clear about the speeds and cautions to follow when sailing in this area.
It was a beautiful day, the Boka Kotorska Bay is stunning and we recommend this place and Radivoj’s renting service.

Boka bay is a nice area to spend a holiday and best way to enjoy that is by boat! Avoid big cities with tourists and focus on small villages where food is tasty and prices reasonable.

Dean’s boat (and skipper he organised) facilitated an amazing day covering just about all of the Bay of Kotor. The boat is in top condition, and Dean sorted us out with excellent communication at very short notice. Thanks!

We had a fantastic day out on the boat. Our group of eight was very well looked after by our skipper Anton and his father, who made the experience smooth and enjoyable. They even surprised us by taking us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch, which was a real highlight. The itinerary gave us plenty of time to swim, relax, and enjoy the scenery, and it was great that we could bring our own drinks on board. Everything was well organised and exceeded our expectations — highly recommended.

This was the first time we ranted a boat via Clickandboat. Overall experience was exceptional. Communication with the owner was super prompt, easy, pleasant. Description of the boat was absolutely accurate. Boat is phenomenal, comfortable, clean, mint condition, well equipped, rides smooth even through the waves. Excellent value for money and very economical to run. Highly recomended.
